Hello,

Under PowerPoint 2007 and later

Right-click on the PPS/New/Save As and choose the PPTX extension
close the file, just activate the PPTX extension of the file and change it to ZIP

double-click on the file, select PPT then media and you have access to all the files of your slideshow

Hello,

if it's a single image, right-click on the image, "Save as image."
If it's a slide background, right-click, "Save background."

To have all the images, Save As, select the file type "Web page (*.htm; *.html)." A folder will be created in which you will have the images in their original resolution and in low resolution.

Hello,

With PowerPoint Image Extractor, you can retrieve all the photos and sound from the PPS with a single click, a new folder is created automatically.

Hello,

isn't it a shame to install an additional tool when the software already has everything it needs to do the same thing? Isn't that what we call a "bloatware"? :-)
Audio files are also extracted with Mike's solution and the one I mentioned earlier.

It's just a suggestion, everyone does what they want, I’m fine with this utility, it’s my right and I don’t criticize others' methods.

You're right, everyone does what they want, and that's the whole point of forums, to offer different solutions.
Also, I didn't criticize, I just expressed my opinion or made a comment if you prefer. That's my right too :-))

Hello everyone,

indeed, everyone does what they want, but here we are on a forum, and the proposed solutions must be simple and precise.
To support Claire's answer, it is a shame to install utilities when the system already has tools for this, which avoids clutter or generating conflicts. Often, free utilities open ports to spam and other issues; one must realize that free does not exist and there is an inevitable cost.

To complement the answers on extracting images, sound files, etc...

up to version 2003, you had to save as and choose the extension "Web page (*.htm; *.html)"

since 2007, you need to Save As and choose the PPTX extension
close the file, just activate the PPTX extension of the file and change it to ZIP
double-click the file, select PPT then media, and there you have access to all the files in your slideshow

of course, for a simple image, right-click on the image "Save as image"

It's true that when you look at it that way, it's much simpler than a single click!!!

Why make it simple when you can make it complicated? Right?

Hello Mike,

if I may, I'd just like to point out that with PowerPoint 2007, we still have the option to save in HTML format. It was only since 2010 that this feature was removed.
Hence my response to Michre13 in this regard.

But everything is good to (ap)take :-)
