Hello,
To keep an eye on my older children, aged 12 and 10, when I come home late from work, I bought an M3S IBABY camera (http://www.boulanger.fr/ecoute_bb_ihealth_m3s_ibaby_monitor/p_16693_579105.htm), a kind of baby monitor with video and sound.
It's perfect, all the reviews are glowing on the websites: easy and quick installation on the iPhone via Wi-Fi, HD image, two-way audio...
It's mainly the ease of installation that I liked, because honestly, for some cameras, you need to be a real pro...
I received it this morning, plugged it in, followed the instructions on the iPhone...impossible to connect to Wi-Fi...I turned it off, turned it back on, reset it, turned it off again, unplugged the router, started over...in short, all of this for 5 hours...nothing
However, the camera works very well with an Ethernet cable, so it’s not a camera issue...impossible to connect to Wi-Fi (yet it shows 3 out of 3 bars for Wi-Fi reception on the camera)
I performed all the troubleshooting 20 cm away from the router, so there’s no possibility of a poor Wi-Fi signal...
The website is in English and even when translated, there’s no trace of my error messages: 105001 or 405019.
In short, I'm losing hope and already envisioning sending it all back even though it’s great (and works on Wi-Fi for everyone except me....)

Hi
1 - It’s going down with:
Which Livebox? Click this link and let us know which model corresponds to your Livebox
2 - What exactly are you doing to connect the camera to the box?
3 - What does an iPhone have to do with this?

Which Livebox: Livebox 2 Sagem

I'm supposed to download the app from the Apple Store (via an iPhone or an iPad), and then I connect the iPhone to the camera using a USB cable, which thanks to the app connects and configures itself; normally everything happens automatically (you just have to follow the app's instructions)

You are not answering the question of what you are doing exactly
In any case, this cannot be done alone; at some point, you need to enter the Wifi security key of the Livebox or activate the WPS mode (a mode that eliminates the need to enter the security key) on it if the iPad app allows and/or requests it.
On the Livebox side, the only thing that could prevent a properly executed Wi-Fi connection is the fact that MAC filtering is enabled in its Wi-Fi settings.

Hello,
I'm exactly in the same situation, with the same livebox.
I accessed the sharing settings of the livebox via my computer. I shared the Wi-Fi connection from the iPhone but nothing.
It is still searching for the Wi-Fi connection.
MAC filtering is not active, the iPhone and iPad connect without any issues.
I even reconfigured my home network.
However, I use plugs for the 2 TV decoders and I don't know if those are preventing the Wi-Fi connection from working properly...

I will give you all the steps tonight by going through them one by one... but at no point does the app ask for the Wi-Fi key from the Livebox...
Everything works fine for me (searching for the camera, configuring the camera...) but once the whole procedure is done and finished, the camera does not connect to Wi-Fi... it searches for several minutes, then an error message appears...
I also have TV through the box and through the Orange plug and play sockets....

How do I set up my iBaby monitor M3?
Make sure your Apple iOS device is connected to your home or office Wi-Fi network.
Remove the red cap from the back of the device and screw in the antenna, pointing up.
Plug the adapter into an electrical outlet and the opposite end into the monitor.
Use the Ethernet cable to connect the camera to an Ethernet port on your modem/router (Livebox).
Install and launch the iBaby Monitor App on your Apple iOS device by using the keyword search: "iBaby Monitor BM". When the message "New iBaby Monitor. Please set up your first camera" appears, click "OK".
The message "Searching for Wi-Fi" will appear until your network is found. Once found, go to the "Settings" page, select your network (Livebox name), enter your password (Livebox security key), and click "Done".
When the message "iBaby Monitor rebooting. Disconnect the iBaby Monitor cable. Do not turn off the camera" appears, unplug the Ethernet cable.
Wait for the monitor to connect to Wi-Fi (about 30 seconds).
When the message "You are using the default camera" appears, select "later." The setup is complete
So it is not an ad-hoc mode but a standard Wi-Fi connection to your Livebox
P.S.: the camera also works in a PC or Android environment, not just via Apple.
Sorry, I didn't have time last night. It's almost that, but not quite. There are 2 types of M3S cameras, and I have the other type, where the Ethernet cable is not provided and you connect via Wi-Fi using the iPhone and the USB cable.
I get the same message searching for Wi-Fi, and my iPhone is always connected to the Wi-Fi at home, so there's no problem on that side. It connects well to Wi-Fi, connects to the cloud, and once the installation is completed, it never manages to connect; it is perpetually searching for Wi-Fi...

I may finally have a solution, I just saw that I received an email from the healthlabs support....
Hello,
If you have kept the default configuration of your Livebox, you will need to change the security key (the Wi-Fi password) because the iBaby system (like other devices) accepts a maximum of 22 characters for the security key (the default key of the Livebox has 26 characters)
1. Log in to your Orange interface:
Click on the following link from your computer or type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar of your internet browser.
2. Enter your username and password and then click "login"
Note: the default username and password are:
Username: admin
Password: admin
If you have configured a different username and password, please enter them
3. Go to My Wi-Fi > Security Key > Modify
4. Change your password without exceeding 22 characters (numbers, letters, hyphens accepted)
Be careful, some special characters may cause problems (@, %, #, $...)
5. Click "Save"
You can now proceed to install your iBaby camera by following the instructions in the quick start guide provided.
If your camera is plugged in, please unplug it for 10 seconds.
Plug it back in and wait for the beep that indicates the camera has started successfully.
Follow the instructions in the app.
Warning: All your Wi-Fi connected devices on your Livebox will lose their Internet connection. You will need to reconnect your other devices by entering your new security key (Wi-Fi password)
Please keep me informed of the results of this troubleshooting procedure.
It seems that the issue comes from the Livebox password being too long....I will try this weekend (what a job with all the connected devices that will need to be reconnected!)

It's a bad solution because it decreases the protection of your Wifi network
This product is rather outdated in terms of wifi security
We recommend the opposite, a long key (up to 63 characters) that's complicated (with special characters @, %, #, $) using WPA2 standard
Are they also asking you to switch the security to WEP standard by any chance?
Anyway, I'm still skeptical, as that wouldn't prevent you from "seeing" your camera during the installation phase.
It would prevent you from connecting it, not from seeing it
Try instead (if you can) to switch the wifi to b/g mode instead of b/g/n in the Livebox
We could do this with the Sagem 2 before the firmware update.
Also try changing the channel in the box settings
Is this the procedure you're following (with USB connection between the iPhone and the camera)? https://ibabylabs.com/documents/M3sNAEUQuickInstallGuideV2.0.pdf

So I got it from my sister who has Free and it worked on the first try, the connection was established in 2 seconds!!! The problem comes from my Livebox, I called Orange and they told me that I didn't have enough megabytes! That I need an amplifier.
Good evening,
The various participants in the forum are not machines, but real human beings acting voluntarily, so a few words of politeness are always welcome.
A sentence starting with hello and ending with thank you in advance is more likely to receive a quick and quality response.

Good evening
I had the same problem
with certain boxes, the camera cannot connect if your wifi address contains numbers, spaces, uppercase letters, or symbols, and it must not exceed 22 characters. So if it doesn't work, go to your box account, change your wifi network name and your password, validate, reboot your box, and reconnect your camera to the wifi, and normally it should work perfectly
Good luck

You don't bring anything either, except for sending the participants who DO, despite everything, provide answers, packing. (Unlike you)
Thank you Jnyrsina for your post, the problem is indeed that the "power" delivered by the Livebox is not strong enough, so for alexb21 and vince, we need an amplifier.

If you really intervened to help on the forum, you would know that it's unmanageable to have 50 members jumping into a thread saying... "I have the same problem"
Then I don't see where you have contributed anything more to this topic, no more than the other participants
The explanation of the problem was given by alexb21 himself
You haven't understood anything about it, neither the statement of the problem nor the so-called solution which is just a stopgap in the face of the obsolescence and non-compliance with wifi standards of this product.
In the case of alexb21, where the camera is 20 cm from the box, the "power" has nothing to do with it.
It is stupid to talk to him about an amplifier when the problem is the length of the poorly managed key by the camera
So, in the future, avoid unnecessary personal attacks and post if you have something to contribute in terms of analysis and/or solution.

Hello, Thank you for your messages.
I was in the same situation, unable to connect the M3S IBABY camera I had just bought to Wi-Fi.
I have the Freebox Revolution.
I almost returned the camera until I read alexb21's post. It was indeed the Wi-Fi key that was too long. What a hassle!!
I'm glad it works and thank you again.

I unplugged and plugged the camera back in, same with the live box. I reinstalled the camera on my iPhone in ibaby view.
And it works perfectly!!!
Thank you alexb21!!
