Ricoh Network Issue

Hello,
I have acquired a Ricoh Aficio MP C2050 photocopier.
Since my brother tinkered with the network, I can no longer send scans to the file server, which is my Freebox. Indeed, when I go to System Settings > Administrator Tools > Address Book Management > New Program > Browse the Network
it displays "Unable to find the specified path. Check the settings."

My Freebox is on the network 192.168.1.254
My printer is at the address 192.168.1.2 with a fixed IP
I have explored all the options with no results, thank you for your response.
For your information, the network printer works perfectly. And I am going through a router, which is the Freebox.

Hello
The easiest way is through the web
launch your browser > address bar: IP address of your 2050.
click on connection to enter admin mode / login > admin > no password
click on address book > new user:
you can choose > email address or SMB.
for SMB > you must specify the username of the PC and the password, the address is of the form: \\computer name\shared folder
instead of the computer name you can also enter the IP address of your PC.
Best regards
JLV

Hello, Thank you for your response.
I did as you told me
However, the printer displays "unable to find the specified location"

I would like the scans to go into a folder on my FREEBOX as before
so I put in the SMB box: \\FREEBOX_S\Hard drive\scan
and also \\192.168.1.254\Hard drive\scan
but without result. I think there are other settings to check but I can't find them.

It's the same for emails, it doesn't work. THANK YOU

oh that's great, thanks a lot JL Veco !!!
the scan works, but the email still doesn't :( I'm still fiddling a bit, I think I'm going to find it
the solution was to put the IP address of the box and not FREEBOX in the link :p

The scan folder needs to be shared
in my opinion, you have an authentication problem
the smb protocol on the ricoh requires authentication AND a password
or you can install the scan folder on your pc
good luck
whenever you're ready
