Hello,
I'll briefly explain my problem. I hope I can be clear in my explanations.
I work in an office where 4 PCs are connected via powerline adapters to the Ricoh photocopier.
The powerline adapters are really close, 2 meters apart.
2 PCs are running Windows 7
1 PC is running Windows 8.1
1 PC is running Windows 10 (mine)
We are all connected by cable to a new TP-Link switch for internet access (which is connected to the ISP router).
There are issues where printing does not start directly, and the job comes out of the machine a few hours later, or not at all with an error message (see below).
This problem appeared suddenly, while not long ago everything was working perfectly.
I called the technical support that manages the company's machines, they came on-site to check.
They found no problem with the photocopier. They recommended setting the photocopier to a static IP instead of automatic, tested printing by connecting a PC directly with an ethernet cable, and it worked.
The problem is resolved on 3 of the 4 PCs, but not on mine.
I should mention that a week ago, I had another PC running Windows 8.1 as well and the problem was already present.
I see the photocopier receiving the information that a print job has been sent (indicated by a small green light that blinks) but it does not print and gives me this type of message:

Then, even more oddly (which I absolutely do not understand, nor do the technicians who manage the machines), sometimes printing goes smoothly and starts immediately.
Here’s what I have tried to do to fix the problem:
- Resynchronize the powerline adapters (from the brand Sweex)
- Remove the printer from my PC and reinstall it with the latest available drivers.
- Change the port of the ethernet cable coming from the switch to my PC.
And there I admit I'm completely stumped, I have no idea what to test anymore.
If it didn't work AT ALL, I would think that it's probably the powerline adapters that are faulty and need to be changed.
But since sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't (under the same conditions and using the same programs), I think the problem must not come from there.
Do you have a magical solution or any leads to propose, please?
Thank you :)
