Hello, when I turn on my HP510 laptop, this appears:
"1720 SMART Hard Drive detects imminent failure (failing attr: 05)
Please back up the content of the hard drive and run HDD Self test in F10 Setup
F10=ROM Based Setup
F1 Ignore "
I tried to go into F10 as they asked, but I couldn't; at the same time, I'm not very good at this...
If I ignore it, I can still access Windows, but I would like to know why this message appears and if I can remove it
I have Windows XP2
Thank you to you, the computer experts ;)

Good evening,
I think unfortunately this is a very important warning message:
"1720 SMART Hard Drive detects imminent failure"
If we translate, it's the drive's health monitoring system saying, beware it could fail very soon.
The first super urgent thing is to back up everything you want to keep while it's still running.
After that, we can install software for diagnostics.
Best regards
