Startup issue... F10 = ROM ??

Hello, when I turn on my HP510 laptop, this appears:

"1720 SMART Hard Drive detects imminent failure (failing attr: 05)
Please back up the content of the hard drive and run HDD Self test in F10 Setup
F10=ROM Based Setup
F1 Ignore "

I tried to go into F10 as they asked, but I couldn't; at the same time, I'm not very good at this...
If I ignore it, I can still access Windows, but I would like to know why this message appears and if I can remove it

Confirmation of what jee pee says. If translated, it is the disk's health monitoring system saying, watch out, it might fail very soon.

It's not that terrible. If it's new, it's under warranty and it's less dreadful than if it happened 8 days after its expiration.

It might just be a false alarm, and that's why jee pee advises you to install a diagnostic software. You can find it on the manufacturer's website.

And indeed, since your PC is brand new, it should still be under warranty?

In this specific case, I wouldn't even consider trying something to recover the disk or do a more precise diagnosis; I would call customer service, give them the message that appears when starting the machine, and ask them to replace the disk with a new one. That's the wise solution.

SCOPE

Les ordinateurs portables spécifiques affectés par ce problème sont listés dans la section Matériels affectés en bas de ce document.
RESOLUTION

Si le disque dur est un disque dur Hitachi, mettez à niveau le firmware du disque dur en installant la mise à jour du firmware vers la version C40A/C80A (SP41796).

Si le disque dur est d'une autre marque, le firmware ne sera pas mis à jour par ce softpaq. Si le message d'erreur diffère des messages de la section Description, la mise à jour du firmware peut ne pas résoudre le problème. Dépannez le disque dur comme d'habitude.

Si nécessaire, suivez les instructions dans le document SP41796 Instructions/Informations pour créer une clé USB bootable en utilisant le softpaq.
