Hello everyone,
I have a problem when using a Word template. I select a colored CV. I fill it out, everything goes well, and as soon as I try to save it, my layout changes. In fact, it seems like there are some kind of margins that appear, preventing me from returning it to the original template. I tried to reduce the margins to the minimum, but it still changes the layout.
The problem likely comes from the format in which I save it. I tried Word template, Word document, Word document with macros... None of them work.

Do you have any ideas? The thing is that I could write everything and then directly save it as a PDF. But I would like to keep the template and be able to modify it later.

Thank you in advance for your responses!
Best regards, Victor Meunier.

Hello,

In Word 2013, this template breaks upon saving because it was evidently created with an earlier version.
Save it in Word 97-2003 format.

I tried, but there’s still a problem... The layout stays good, the margins disappear. But the kind of "info bubbles" like professional experience disappear... I even get the error message saying that it's not compatible with this version of Word. I feel like I'm going to have a hard time with this!

It is possible that the original model was made on a Mac.
But I just retested it.

When saving in 97-2003 format, the document hardly changes except for the CV title which was centered vertically. That's all!
I also tried to convert it, and that was really bad.

Download it again, and before entering anything, save it in 97-2003 format (.doc).
