Display: Automatically scroll to top

Hello,

I have a quick question regarding display in Word; not knowing quite how to phrase it for search engines, I'm asking it here.

As I often write lengthy documents in Word, I'm faced with a somewhat annoying vertical head bobbing problem ^^.
Serious note, I wanted to know if it’s possible in Word to limit the display area of the cursor. Let me explain:

I would like, for example, that when reaching the bottom 3/4 of the screen, the view automatically scrolls up instead of the cursor continuing to descend until it almost reaches the status bar at the bottom.

Wanting to improve my posture in front of a computer (Sit up straight! 3:) ), I would like to maintain a sort of "head-up view." The "scroll the screen up" solution is not viable since the screen is "ergonomically speaking," well placed.

Is there an option in Word to do just that?

Thank you in advance for your response and have a great day!

Hello,

At the risk of not understanding the question, which surprises me (as the problem is usually the opposite), why not simply resize the document window to the desired size?
That's the principle of Windows, right? :)

Hello!

My response is late, but I just signed up and thus just entered the circuit. And this response is a response without being one. You could maybe enlarge (by unlocking) the taskbar to the desired height so that when you open your Word software, your workspace is smaller. It's just a tip, let's say. Have a good evening.

Hello and thank you for your responses,

indeed the solution of resizing the window is what I'm currently using. I even "enjoy" doing a split view in Word with one window where I write and the other that shows me a global preview of the page I'm typing on.

But I don't understand why they didn't allow for that to be adjusted in Word. Oh maybe some ergonomists or osteopaths suggested that Word could reduce neck stiffness this way. ^^

In any case, thank you!

Hello,

The principle of Windows is precisely that, which is to be able to work with windows of one's own dimensions...
So I don't see any controversy regarding this topic... Especially now that almost all of us have 16:9 screens... which are not that tall either.
This is actually the first time I've seen a question on this subject since I started actively participating in forums (14 years!).
