YOUR OPINION PLEASE: Is my boyfriend's story credible?
On the morning of November 5th, my boyfriend went to "Lucky Girls Bar," 5, rue Fromentin, in Pigalle-Paris.
He was passing by when a tout tried to convince him to enter the bar ("pretty girls ..."). Initially, my boyfriend refused. Then, the guy offered him a glass of champagne, and my boyfriend, who normally avoids alcohol, accepted. Once inside this very dark little bar, they opened a bottle of champagne for him and served him a glass. In the bar, there were only 2 other men (customers) and 2 waitresses dressed normally (jeans, t-shirt). According to the credit card receipts, his card was charged 100 euros at 1 am, 50 euros at 1:16 am, and 55 euros at 1:31 am.
According to him, they charged him 350 euros for the champagne, which he immediately refused to pay. After discussion and negotiation, he paid 100 euros by credit card, but they insisted on the 350, so he paid another 50. After another quarter of an hour, he succumbed to their pressure and paid 55 euros.
He says they offered him to go behind the curtain to see the girls, but he refused.
He claims he didn't see any sexy girls, and no girl came to sit next to him to talk. He feels he got completely scammed and regrets entering that place.
