Hello!
So I'll try to explain my problem clearly.
I know what they say about Macs and video games, anyway, I got one two weeks ago, I think it's an iMac 21.5 inches mid-2014.
And my problem, as you might have guessed, is that DayZ is not compatible with my Mac. Basically, I click "install the game" and it tells me "DayZ is not available for your current computer." It's my fault for not checking beforehand, but I wanted to know if there’s another way to install and play the game. I've been trying for 2 days to download Bootcamp to have Windows 7 on my Mac, but I can't do it because my Mac doesn't have a CD drive. I've also tried using a virtual machine with Parallels Desktop 9, but with Desktop, I almost succeeded. In fact, I managed to download the game, but when I try to launch it, it crashes. So if there’s a solution, that would be nice of you. smile. Thank you in advance.

Hello there! I’ve been playing DayZ Standalone on my iMac for a few weeks now. It runs smoothly. So to keep it simple, I created a Windows partition on the iMac using Bootcamp. Like you, I don’t have a CD drive, so I used a USB stick.
It's just as simple; there are also tutorials on YouTube for using Bootcamp via USB. Just search for Windows 7 USB Bootcamp on YouTube and you should find it ;) If you have any questions, feel free to ask. And don't lose hope; it’s playable on iMac and the game is worth the effort to set up the config.
Ciao!-
Thank you for your response! I made several attempts before your reply and nothing worked, I will try with another USB stick to see if it's the USB stick that doesn't work, even though it's 8GB.
The problem is that it bugs right from the start during the formatting of the stick, so I think that's it.
I was losing a bit of hope lately but I will try again, thank you!
I can imagine that this game must be monstrous : ) -
