Good evening,
I bought a new laptop, a Samsung Activ Book 2 (np270e5g-k02), 3 weeks ago. For the past week, my computer has become very slow.
(I also recently installed Windows 8.1)
While trying to uninstall some unnecessary programs (Bing bar ..), I discovered a program called "TAP-Windows 9.9.2". I have never seen it before, and I never installed it.
Even though my computer is now a bit less slow (I also replaced Norton with Avast), I am a bit concerned about this program that installed itself.
What should I do now? Just uninstall it or...? :s

Hello! The "Tap Windows" process is not a virus; it is a necessary process for a VPN client to function. You can uninstall it easily without any worries. It may have been installed without your knowledge during the installation of OpenVPN or other programs that I am not familiar with, but rest assured, it's not a trojan!
