PC screen "entering power save" Solved

Question

Hello,
Today I went to buy a PC tower, and when I got home, I plugged in all the cables and the monitor, I turned on my PC tower, and my screen stays black (it just says "Entering power save").
I don't want to be vulgar, but this really pisses me off, so please help me. What should I do?

Have you made sure that the VGA port was properly connected to something? It could be that the tower only works with DVI (this happened with a tower I had; nothing was connected to the VGA port inside the PC).

Was there some sort of cover on the VGA port?

In that case, you can either use a DVI to VGA adapter or change the tower tomorrow (recommended), but make sure that the VGA connector is available on the label.

Hello,
If you've changed your tower and it's new, you can rule out the dust issue and a faulty graphics card. However, it is quite possible that it's just a driver problem. The driver for your monitor is not installed on the tower, which means your monitor is not recognized as such and therefore doesn't receive a signal. You should try testing with another monitor to see if that works better.

Did you plug the screen into the right socket? If so, can you tell me the type of socket used?

If there was a cache then the socket was useless.
