Black screen with power saving mode message

Hello,
ever since I installed Vista, put in a 8600 GTS graphics card, and upgraded my power supply to 650 watts, here is the problem: I work on the PC with Vista and as soon as I start playing Counter, after a little while it freezes and the screen turns black with "power saving mode" displayed. Could you help me? Thank you all, it's super urgent!!!!!!!!
