Be aware that XP is no longer supported by Microsoft and the risk of having issues (stability, security holes) should not be ignored.

Check that the printer is also compatible with at least Win8 or seven.

You ask if the printer is compatible with your PC

if it is compatible with XP SP3 and your PC is SP1 or SP2 update it and check the connections. At the time of XP, there were still old printer ports that were twice the size of a VGA.

Thank you for your answers. I will try to update it; there must be a tutorial for that! The printer is compatible with Windows 7 and 8, and the port is the same as at work where the equipment is recent, so it should be fine.

As for the mockers, my computer is old (2005) but it's holding up well for now; I can't afford all the new stuff, and at home, the devices are pushed to their limit. With that said, I'm going to get back to pedaling to generate electricity!

You didn't provide any information, neither about the PC nor about the printer... etc... etc...

I come to thank you for the advice. The update to SP3 was done automatically on my computer, I was able to verify it thanks to Aunt Eliza's advice. I received and installed the new printer yesterday, and so far it works.
