Hello,
I have a desktop computer and when I turn it on, it beeps "beep" "beep" and the lights turn off. A few moments later, the fan runs at full speed. Please help me solve this problem.
Note: The computer is new so it hasn't been used since I received it from the company.
Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 29.0

Hello,
First of all, do you have access to the BIOS? It would indeed be good to know the brand of the BIOS, as the meaning of the beeps varies depending on the brand.
Best regards, -
When you turn on your PC and provided that you have a display on the screen, look at the bottom and you should see a message like "Enter BIOS setup press... (usually it's the Del or F12 key). If you can access it, you will then see the BIOS brand.

Are the 5 beeps long, short, or a mix of both?

Based on your writings, it seems to be a problem with the graphics card. If you can easily open the desktop case, check if your graphics card is properly seated on the motherboard.
-
Other tests to perform: Start by removing the RAM. Replace it with only one in the slot closest to the CPU. Restart the PC. If nothing happens, try with the second one. If still nothing, the problem probably doesn't come from there. Second test: Check the processor (make sure it is correctly inserted in the socket, that there is enough thermal paste, and that the heatsink is properly secured).

Here is the message I now have after removing the RAM and the battery after a few moments: "161 - Real-Time Clock Power Loss.
The system time is invalid. This may be a result of a loss in battery power. Set the correct time and date using your operating system. If this message persists, you may need to replace the onboard battery."
At the bottom it says on a blue background: F1: boot
What should I do now?
Thank you in advance for your response.

You have a display, which is already a good thing. The message indicates that the CMOS (battery) is worn out. So it needs to be replaced. Then you will have to go into the BIOS (F1 at startup) and update the date/time, remembering to save before exiting.

Il faut aller voir dans le BIOS et vérifier si le disque dur est bien reconnu. Vérifie aussi qu'il est correctement connecté.

My problem is resolved. My hard drive was unplugged. Thank you for all the time you have sacrificed to help me.
Best regards -
You're welcome, it was a pleasure :)
Good luck!
