Hello
I have a long story with Cdiscount, I think it’s a good lesson for Cdiscount customers.
Three months ago, I bought a mobile phone from Cdiscount; it was the payment option that interested me. I made the purchase by clicking on payment in 4 installments. Then, I had to fill out a Casino card form to take advantage of this option. I never like credit cards, so I decided to cancel the purchase, but it wasn't possible; I had to contact customer service. I called the next morning and waited 10 minutes (at my expense). Afterward, I was told, "It’s okay, fill out the form, and if it’s rejected, we’ll let you pay in 4 installments." We can't cancel the purchase.
I filled it out and sent what was needed; I received the phone after a week, but my application was refused. I called again, and after 15 minutes, I was connected to the payment service. The gentleman told me, "It's fine, you’ll pay in 4 installments."
Two days later, I received a new phone!... yes, that’s the second one. I refused it and sent it back.
I called, I called, I called, I called......;
In the end, I paid for the first phone in total + the first installment of the second one, which is almost half of my salary!... I continue to pay each month, and I am reimbursed a week later.

I bought a TV payable in 4 installments, no problem, except for the offers from the casino bank by email.

I also bought a bamboo keyboard for my computer, I paid by credit card in the name of CDISCOUNT ... the product doesn't work! The customer service is more than lamentable!! I called twice at 09 70 80 90 50 .... this person claiming that I have to contact the manufacturer who is in China!!! Who do they think they are fooling? If you encounter similar problems, I advise you to contact the U.F.C QUE CHOISIR nearest to you!!!

Hello

Unfortunately, this is the basic principle of all these marketplaces that are proliferating:

CDiscount is just a platform that connects customers with numerous sellers located all over the world (with a high density in China..).

CD handles the payment on behalf of the seller (+ takes its 'commission') but is in no way legally responsible for the relationship between customers and sellers (see the T&Cs..).

In case of a dispute, the buyer must turn to THEIR seller who often does not fall under EU law. So there is no real recourse or means of pressure available..

Always check the applicable law for the seller before handing over your money!!$

See you!
