Crédit agricole: online payment declined

Hello,

Here it is, I have been trying to pay for a CD online via the Fnac website for over a week now. Back in April, I had already ordered online on their site and everything worked fine. But today, it's not working anymore, they keep showing me "bank refusal" ... However, the limit is not exceeded and the card number is correct.

I really don't know where this is coming from, especially since this happens on all the sites where I've tried to buy this CD.

At the same time, I read that the Mozaïc Mastercard from Crédit Agricole works when it wants to online (at least that's what I understood anyway).

Has anyone else encountered the same problem? Has the origin of this issue been clarified?

Thank you in advance!

Hello everyone, I know this topic is outdated, but I’m going to share what this lovely advisor from Crédit Agricole Nord Est told me.

Basically, for the Mozaic cards (I don't know about the others), there is a limit (which in my case was not mentioned when acquiring the card) for what they call remote purchases (online payment). It is equal to half of your general monthly withdrawal limit. There is also a limit of 30 payments per month.

For example, if your monthly payment/withdrawal limit is €400, your remote purchase limit is €200 or 30 payments.

Best regards...

Thank you for the info 3l indio! I'm still with Crédit Agricole, but this time in the Lorraine region, and I'm still having the same issue. At my previous agency, I eventually changed my card and therefore stopped using the Mozaïc card. I had way fewer problems.

Once I moved to Lorraine, I immediately asked NOT to have a Mozaïc card, but they made a mistake and I ended up with one again. It is completely IMPOSSIBLE for me to order anything online, even for amounts that are more than minimal (around €10). I asked them why that was the case, and as always, they replied that it might be because I filled up on fuel and that it blocked at the limit... Well no actually! I rarely fill up, I just found a job, but for a year and a half before that, I couldn't afford anything and my expenses were limited to automatic withdrawals (mobile plan, PEL, car insurance...). I didn't even exceed half of the limit your advisor mentioned.

I have too many issues with Crédit Agricole agencies anyway; the previous one took over a year to close the current account I had with them!! Moreover, I communicated my new address to them several times, but they kept sending my mail and bank statements to my parents' place (thank goodness they still live at the same address for now!).

Anyway, as soon as I move again, I will completely change banks... I'm fed up with Crédit Agricole!

Thanks anyway for your help :).

I believe that through these multiple obstructions, the banks, whose situation is more than questionable, are trying to keep their clients' money in their accounts. It should be noted that many French and European banks are certainly more in the red than the majority of their depositors. I had to experience two payment refusals yesterday for online orders with the CIC, even though my accounts are well funded: one with my personal account, the other with my business account. Could this not be a precursor to a major banking crisis, similar to what Cyprus, Greece, or Lebanon have recently experienced?
