Hello everyone!
My question will surely surprise those who are knowledgeable in computers, but I would like to know the meaning of the "F:" next to the "C:".
It says "data", how is it different from "C:"?
I searched for information online, but I couldn't find anything...
I hope someone will be kind enough to explain all this to me, and maybe give me the address of a website that explains this kind of thing...
Thank you in advance!
Pierre

Read,

it's just the letter assigned for drive access...

Usually C is the main hard drive
A and B: are for the floppy drive

and all the other letters can be assigned to a reader, USB key, or even a camera and many others ^^

C = your system
F = your saved data
either on another partition or on a different hard drive

sorry for my spelling :/

Hello,
In Windows, different storage devices connected to the PC are assigned a letter to differentiate them.
The hard drive where Windows is installed is C, in fact A and B are reserved for floppy disk drives. When you plug a USB drive into the PC, it will receive a drive letter, usually the first one available in alphabetical order.
