Hello,
I'm reaching out for your help because I have an issue with my Acer Iconia A1 tablet purchased in July 2013. It has always worked fine until now, but this afternoon when I tried to turn it on, it wouldn't start. Thinking that the battery was low, I plugged it in to charge, but the problem is that as soon as I connected the charger, the tablet started vibrating every 5 seconds and it won't turn on. I decided to unplug the power cable, and it stopped vibrating. It's strange because usually, when it shuts down due to a low battery, it turns on immediately when I plug in the charger, but this time I don't understand why it vibrates every 5 seconds. Is it charging, or does it not start at all, and in that case, should I see a repair technician?
This is very urgent, thank you!

Hello,
I experienced the same thing today.
Here’s what worked for me on my A1 810:
- unplug the tablet
- open the large rear cover (by sliding a fingernail or credit card through the micro SD slot)
- disconnect the battery
- press the power button for about fifteen seconds
- (if necessary, reset via a paperclip through the hole between the HDMI and micro SD ports)
- reconnect the battery
- plug the tablet back in
- turn on the tablet
Removing the battery must have performed a factory reset
Good luck
