Hi everyone,

My sister-in-law gave me her old Toshiba laptop with Vista and equipped with "Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student."

Unfortunately, no matter which program is launched (Word, Excel, or PowerPoint), they are unusable: the toolbar remains grayed out and does not allow access to any function except through "File/Open."

Since I can't use it, I want to uninstall it. Unfortunately, I have an error window that appears: The installation cannot continue because a required file is damaged or not available. Please rerun the installer from the original source disk or download location.

There is no source disk, but in the download location, I found a setup.exe file in a folder called "Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007" in the "Downloads" folder. However, when I run the executable, I still get the same error message about the corrupted file.

Is there an uninstallation utility that bypasses this corrupted file or another way to uninstall this office suite?

Thank you in advance for your solutions.

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 26.0

Thank you, but I had already tried with Revo without success.
But don't look anymore, I found it and it's very simple. Last night I couldn't find a utility (maybe due to fatigue), but today, bingo.
Actually, you just have to go here:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/uninstall-office-from-a-pc-9dd49b83-264a-477a-8fcc-2fdf5dbf61d8?ui=en-us&rs=en-us&ad=us
And they explain everything to you, especially the uninstallation with Fix It.
I tried it, and there you go, it's done.
