Sony Xperia SP Speaker Issue Solved/Closed

Hello,

I received a Sony Xperia SP for Christmas. Until today, I haven't had any issues, but now my phone has no sound for music, games, I can't hear the person on the call and they can't hear me, the alarm doesn't make any noise. The only thing that still works is the vibrator. The only remaining sounds are when I receive a message or a call and when I turn up the ringer volume. I can still make calls if I use the speakerphone, and everything works with headphones. I wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else and if you have a solution.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 26.0

I had the same issue and now it works I plugged and unplugged the headphones while the phone was off and it's fine I think the phone doesn't like anything other than headphones being plugged in

Exactly the same problem on my Xperia SP for the past two days, when I receive a call I can't hear the other person, but if I put it on speakerphone it works. The ringtones work, but not the music.

In fact, it's the front speaker that no longer works, the one at the back does work..

Hello, I had the same problem, to fix it you just need to plug the jack into the phone and then unplug it sharply. It worked for me. Best regards

Hello, I also have an Xperia SP and I just noticed that when I make a call and put my phone to my ear, I can't hear the person. I have to either use the hands-free kit or the speakerphone. In my opinion, it must be the internal speaker that has blown, but to be sure, I should check with a repair technician.

Hello, I have an Xperia S and I had the same problem. I reconnected my headphones, played some music, then paused it and removed the headphones, and to see, it works for me :-)
