Hello everyone,
In my company, I manage a fleet of about twenty mobile devices, type iPhone 5.
They are all integrated into a MDM solution, which unfortunately does not allow us to manage the tethering function (hotspot mode).
I would like to avoid users taking advantage of this function, whether via USB or WiFi, as a way to circumvent our proxy.
Do you know of a way?
Whether it's by disabling tethering, or monitoring certain settings on computers to check if this connection is being used.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Informadream

Hello, you won't find a solution to restrict iPhones from using tethering. This feature doesn't exist on iPhones.
You might want to check with the operator to see if they can block data when the iPhone is in tethering mode. At SFR, this is the Multisurf option.
The other solution would be to block your IT setup to prohibit changing the type of connection, but that is beyond my expertise. However, I know who to ask about this in my circle, but obviously, it will likely depend on your environment/operating system.
