Hello, my problem is as follows: every month, a message appears in the bottom right corner of my screen saying "This copy of Windows is not genuine."
Every time, I type "slmgr /rearm" in "cmd," restart the computer, and the message disappears. However, today when I used this method, the following message appeared: "Error 0xC004D307 The maximum number of allowed resets has been exceeded. You must reinstall the operating system before attempting a new reset." I understand that I can no longer perform this maneuver to get rid of this counterfeit software message. Does anyone know how to reinstall the operating system? Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me. This message is blocking some features of my PC.

Hello,

I hope it's not too late for you.

Here is the solution to your problem:

* run "regedit"
* You need to navigate to the SoftwareProtectionPlatform folder. To do this, follow the path below:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/WindowsNT/CurrentVersion/SoftwareProtectionPlatform

Once in the folder, you will find its contents on the right, double-click on SkipRearm and change the value, which should be at 0, to 1.

Here is my source: http://www.quangntran.com/resolve-windows-error-0xc004d307-the-maximum-allowed-number-of-re-arms/

I hope this helps you.

In fact, when I do it, it works; I can use the method again with the command "slmgr -rearm". However, after restarting the PC, it's still the same thing. Where is it going wrong?
