Hello, I received a 27-inch screen for Christmas that I installed on my old XP PC, everything was working fine. Then I formatted my PC to give it to my daughter, and I put my old 19-inch screen back on it. When I turned it on, it showed "cut off 74.5khz/60hz" and the screen is completely black. What should I do? Thank you.

Hi! Let me explain:
-For a black screen with a continuous beep, it’s your RAM (Random Access Memory) that has shifted and is not properly seated ---> solution: remove it and put it back in place.
-For a black screen in general (without a beep), it’s a problem with the graphics card or video output, you have two cases:
1st Case**if you are using a dedicated graphics card (like AGP or PCI express), remove it and put it back in place, as it may have shifted due to bumping against the CPU unit or your PC. If that doesn't work then:
2nd Case*** If your graphics card is integrated (like VGA), then your graphics driver has a problem so it needs to be reinstalled using your graphics card CD if it's bootable, otherwise you need to try booting in Safe Mode (by pressing F8) to access Windows (or another operating system) and reinstall it.

Note: if your screen appears black with a blinking white cursor then your Windows has lost a system file, hence the need to update your Windows or format your PC and reinstall it. Keep in mind that if you format your PC, you will lose the information stored in your system partition (such as my documents and your desktop).
Personally, I connect my hard drive to my nephew's and recover my documents, my photos or others from his hard drive! I format my PC (only my system partition). I install the right drivers and other programs. Finally, I recover everything via a flash drive or another means of transferring information.
As for the admin session: there are two methods:
1st- you go through the BIOS (press delete just when your PC boots up (with the "beep" sound)). You will have a menu that you can navigate using the arrow keys and change values using the "+" or "-" and validate with "enter". So you go to security and cancel the password. If that doesn’t grant you access then:
2nd-a HARDWARE solution is suggested you open your PC. You remove the clock battery. You remove a jumper located on your motherboard. You put the battery back. You turn your PC back on and put the jumper back (be careful with the current, you should only touch the plastic part of the jumper). Result: your PC no longer has a password.
I’m exhausted from telling you all this! So a simple thank you is enough for me. All the best.
