Hello,
I am presenting my issue: I have an iMac and a Time Capsule. The Time Capsule was well connected to my Livebox and was working perfectly.
Since yesterday, I now have Fiber. The problem is simply that the new Livebox is no longer at the same location (at the other end of the room).
I can no longer connect the Time Capsule to the Livebox using an Ethernet cable. So here is my question: is it possible to configure the Time Capsule and connect it to the internet via Wi-Fi? In other words, can I connect it wirelessly? So that I cannot move the Time Capsule and everything.
Thank you for your answers, which I hope will be prompt.
Have a good evening.

Good evening,
The proper configuration in this case (classic) is as follows:
The box receiving the fiber is in its place.
The Time Capsule is directly connected to the box via an ethernet cable.
The Wi-Fi of the box is disabled if it is equipped with one.
The Wi-Fi of the Time Capsule is enabled.
The Time Capsule is configured in "Bridge" mode if the box acts as a router, or this Time Capsule is configured to distribute IP addresses and acts as a router itself if the box does not.
Why doesn't it work like that at your place?
Why can't you leave the Time Capsule near the box?
I also went through these steps. Initially, I was using a Freebox in router mode, and I switched to fiber with a non-router box. With a first-generation Time Capsule, then an Airport Extreme, which is managed in the same way as a Time Capsule regarding Wi-Fi. My Time Capsule is now located at the other end of the house to extend the Wi-Fi network.

Now, I admit I'm having a bit of a hard time.
I don't understand the setup.
The box receiving the fiber is in place. OK.
The Time Capsule is directly connected to the box via an ethernet cable. OK.
The Wi-Fi of the box is disabled if it is equipped. OK.
The Wi-Fi of the Time Capsule is enabled. OK.
"The Time Capsule is configured in Bridge Mode if the box acts as a router, or this Time Capsule is configured to distribute IP addresses and acts as a router itself if the box does not." Here, I admit I don't quite understand...
In any case, once on the iMac, I don't understand what manipulation to do :/

If your version of Mac OS still supports it, try using AirPort Utility version 5.6.1

and go to manual setup to find the network settings.
Have a great day
