Hello everyone,
I have a Palm Tungsten E2 that I bought over 2 years ago. The problem is that I can no longer turn it off; every time I turn it off, it turns back on automatically after about twenty seconds. The only solution for it to really turn off is to wait for the battery to discharge completely, which is not very practical.
I would like to know if there is anything to do before sending it to customer service.
And if someone could share the contact information for customer service, as well as a rough estimate of the prices for a repair?
Thank you in advance.

Hello.
The power and sleep switches on the top of my two palms (TX, Tungsten) are not working anymore.
Does anyone have a solution? I couldn't open it after unscrewing the 4 screws on the back, or the address of a repair service in Montreal.
Thank you in advance.
Pascal.

What to do if, during the month of January, my Palm™ Tungsten™ T3/T5 or Tungsten E turns on for no apparent reason?
It may occasionally happen that Palm™ Tungsten T3/T5 or Tungsten E handhelds turn on without pressing either the Power button or any other button on the front of the device. This symptom appears about five to ten seconds after the Palm is turned off and could be caused by a recurring event recorded in a "Contacts" application entry, such as a birthday notification for example. The events in question are those where the scheduled visual or auditory notification crosses over two years.
A concrete example of a reminder from the "Contacts" menu would be as follows:
A birthday on January 6, for which the reminder is set to be given seven days beforehand, that is, on December 30. The fact that this notification is scheduled before January 1 could cause such a malfunction.
To resolve this issue, we suggest configuring the reminder in question so that it does not cross over two years, therefore after January 1.
Please follow the instructions below to modify a birthday reminder in the "Contacts" menu:
Open your Palm handheld application using either the appropriate button or by clicking the "Applications" screen icon.
Select the entry containing the birthday reminder.
Click 'Edit' and move the cursor to the 'Birthday' field.
Click on the birth date and modify the reminder option so that it does not cross over two years.
Note: You can also choose to disable the automatic reminder by unchecking the corresponding option.
In addition to this initial solution, palmOne is taking this issue more seriously and advises checking the site https://palm.com/ regularly to ensure any updates are available.

I have the same problem, I cannot turn off my Palm, it turns back on after ten to twenty seconds. Is there a solution or should I contact customer service?
Hello
I've had exactly the same issue for 2 days. What have you been able to do? I've tried everything... locking it... and you?
I'm on my third Palm Tungsten E. Do they all have this defect?

Thank you for the info. I got my Palm a month ago and was excited about everything I could do with it. But this morning, the battery was dead without me having used it. I was starting to worry about the steps to take (registered mail, return time...) But you answered my expectations. The anniversary date set for January 7 was a reminder for 7 days, so December 31. I then changed the reminder to 3 days and Bingo!!! My Palm turned off and didn't turn back on after 20 seconds.
Thank you very much.
Thank you very much.
Hello, I have a Palm Tungsten T3 that displays a fatal alert to reset. The screen says: systemMgr.c, Line: 5853, susLinkerStub(): failed to load the shared library. I don't understand, I keep resetting it with the stylus at the back, but it's still the same.
Thank you for helping me find a solution, a manipulation or the cost for a repair.
See you!

I am very surprised that the moderator baladur13 deleted ALL THE VERY USEFUL MESSAGES that I posted on this Hardware forum regarding the Palm E2 and Samsung U600!
I think that the readers and regulars of "comment ça marche" will not find it beneficial, as the information provided was really interesting (explanations about symptoms or DIY repairs, and advice on how to get them repaired if the readers didn't have the necessary knowledge or the address of a repairer! Note that I only included a link with my temporary email address for better information if necessary and did not advertise for a company ...)
I think we should think carefully before destroying the editorial work done voluntarily by some regulars of "comment ça marche" because otherwise they will get tired and will no longer provide information to help the readers ...
I leave the floor to all the regulars! Please share your opinions on this matter ...
Best regards
Harmony

If any of you have a problem with a Palm Tungsten, please contact me here and I will try to help you as best as I can...
In the meantime, be aware that resetting is often a solution to many of your problems.... ;)

Hello,
Does your offer still stand? I have a Palm Tungsten E2 that hasn't been used for about fifteen years. My biggest problem is that it no longer responds (except for rare exceptions) to the touch of my stylus... (I've done numerous soft resets) and it doesn't respond to the power button press either...
Thank you for your response. Best regards
