Hello,
I've been having a problem with my computer since this morning. When I turn it on, the screen stays black, I hear 3 beeps, a silence, then it starts again in a loop, and of course the screen remains black... I've checked the connections (well, I don't really know much about it) and everything seems to be properly connected. I tried unplugging the hard drive, same result... Just for your information, but be careful, I don't know if there's a connection, my other computer was plugged into a socket with an on/off switch that was off, and this morning it also had a startup bug, but in the end it works, although the internal clock was completely out, we were back in 2000... Anyway, maybe that's unrelated. So if you have any ideas or advice, thank you...

Hello
Is there one long beep and two short beeps?
Because if not, it's definitely a graphics card issue.
The ideal would be to know the PC configuration...
May the Force be with you

The Force is like computers, their actions are unpredictable.

Thank you for the help, I will try it right away.
Techys is right. The 3 beeps are quite characteristic of a RAM issue and we need to keep going in that direction.
If you only have one stick and it's faulty, nothing will display. So you need to try with another stick. Be careful, it must be compatible with your motherboard!
If your RAM consists of multiple sticks, test them one by one to identify the faulty one. Generally, it should be the one in the first slot, since the fault is likely in the first 64 KB.

Bon, let's go step by step
First, completely change your memory, no need to test it,
Use the one from the other PC and turn on that one to see.
If both PCs start up.......You're saved
If one doesn't start you know it's your RAM that's faulty
If neither starts, it's your RAM plus your motherboard
So go ahead

Always try to who what i ignore...and share it to others
Hello,
3 beeps at startup: likely a RAM BIOS problem
You can test it with Memtest https://www.zebulon.fr/telechargements/utilitaires/controle-diagnostic/memtest86.html to download on a floppy disk to insert before starting the PC.
Date/Time reset to zero. Generally, this is due to a dead CMOS battery that needs to be replaced, but wait and see if it happens again. Or, if you have the option, check the battery voltage: 3 volts.
Bye.

Same problem for me, Asus P5 VDCMX motherboard or something like that
RAM 1GB
Asus ATI 9550 GE graphics card
Intel fan
PC built in a store, so without a brand

The problem is similar to this one:
After a week of vacation, I plugged everything back in, turned it on, and: the LEDs lit up, the drives activated, the fan too, but nothing appeared on the screen,... and a beep sounded every 5 seconds.
Then it was impossible to turn it off, the power button didn’t respond, but the reset button worked
The only way to turn it off is to use the power button at the back of the case. :s
I don’t know much about the insides of a computer and I find myself quite helpless...
...please, a little advice (other than taking it for repair!!). I would like to understand, so if you know of a French website with schematics and lots of information, let me know.
Thank you very much

Well, you tried everything except for one essential piece, your RAM stick; if it's not working, you can't see anything, so that seems normal.
Replace it with one that you know works.
In the future, consider buying an uninterruptible power supply to protect your devices.

Ok, I will try that and yes, I won't be fooled anymore... in the future, I will be protected... Thank you very much.
I only have one stick of RAM... Or I could take one from my other computer, but I'm really not sure if it will be compatible... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's that... it would honestly be the least bad option... I'll buy one if I have to, it's not a total loss anyway... Thanks
For compatibility
Visual check: same length of the bars and same position of the notch.

If there are labels, which is not always the case, provide the text.

if it's a bios award or phoenix then my old man it's your ram stick that needs to be changed
