Problem with Terratec Cinergy T2 DTT tuner

Hello
I am on XP Pro SP2
Asus P5LD2 motherboard with 2GB of DDR2
MSI Geforce 7600GT vivo graphics card (with the latest drivers)
A 19-inch iiyama Vision Master 1451 screen
I am at 1280/1024 - Optimal colors 32 bits.
I recently got a Terratec Cinergy T2 TNT tuner with the latest drivers and the new software that goes with it, Terratec Home Cinema + an amplifier antenna.
The reception is excellent, but often the image freezes, while the sound repeats in a loop
(like a scratch on a vinyl) for about 30 seconds and then everything goes back to normal, and it starts again.
I want to specify that I am not very far from the transmitter.
Do you know what the problem might be?
One more thing, when my PC is on and my tuner is off, the blue light does not stay on, when the tuner is working the light is on and when my PC is off, the light stays on. Is that normal?
Thanks to everyone for your help.

    Hello,
I have nothing at all when I start an analysis.
The gauge doesn't start and there are no messages on the screen.

The status of the device in the software options is shown as 'ready' and not 'active' (I believe) like it is for someone for whom it works.
Why? What is missing? I installed several audio/video codec packs without success.

    Help...

Hello everyone, I can only pick up terrestrial channels (TF1, France 2, and France 3, in poor quality) and when I scan for TNT it doesn't find anything. I have the antenna connected, I move it around everywhere with no improvement. Is my reception poor?

For your information, the computer: from 2006, an Asus, with an nVidia graphics card, 512 MB of RAM, but I don't think that's the problem.

I inquired with Terratec, and they told me to adjust the audio-video settings.
I changed the audio-video settings several times, but it didn't make any difference.
I have a small indoor antenna (not very expensive), and the problem comes from that; I need a higher quality antenna.

    Hello,
don't complain, I also installed CINERGYHybrid T USB and I get absolutely nothing when I start the scan, no sound, no images, no channels detected, I don't know much about it, I've tried several settings but nothing works, the technical support is in English or German (so not for me), anyway, I'm lost. Let's be patient.....

    Hello
As for the poor reception or anything else, the problem comes solely from the antenna.
I have a €15 amplifier antenna and for me, the issue is there.
I'm going to buy a quality antenna and I'm sure that afterwards, it will be perfect.

Hi, the fact that your image freezes and the sound goes into a loop is not a big deal, I have the same thing, it just comes from the digital broadcast.

Hello, I've had a CINERGYHybrid T USB for 2 years, no issues with Windows XP SP2.
I've switched to VISTA and now the two software packages included with the USB key (Total Media2 and Cinergy Digital 3) no longer work despite several updates from the publisher ArcSoft.

    Does anyone have any ideas???

    Hello,
I bought a Terratec Cinergy T² TNT tuner. My issue is as follows: I live about 30 km from Switzerland and I am near a French TNT transmitter, about 1 km away.
I receive Swiss channels very well but no French ones. I also tried in the southeast of France; I receive Italian channels well but still no French ones.
If anyone can help me on this subject, I would be grateful.

    Hello,
I believe we have come across a series of M..., when I run the analysis, nothing is being picked up, not even the analog channels that I receive very well on my TV, so the problem does not come from reception. This equipment might be too new to be functioning properly. In my opinion, it would be better to acquire an internal tuner card; it costs a bit more, but at least it works. See you later.

    Hello,

As for me, I bought the Cinergy T2 almost 2 years ago and I've never managed to get it to work properly.
At the time of purchase, I lived in Essonne and thought I had too poor a reception for it to work; I tried the supplied antenna, an amplified antenna, and a rooftop antenna: no channels regardless of the setup...

Since then, I moved to Puteaux and took it out again, thinking that being 5 km from the Eiffel Tower it would definitely work...
    Well, not at all:
    with the supplied antenna: nothing...
with the amplified antenna: no channels detected in normal mode but channels detected in "very fine" mode
the result is still very poor, not all available channels and those that do work "skip" constantly (every 5 seconds on average)...

I'm using the latest BDA drivers available on the Terratec website as well as the "Terratec Home Cinema" software that comes with it, all on a Core2Duo / 7900GS / 2GB laptop running up-to-date Windows XP SP2.

Does anyone have any advice please?
(better-suited drivers, reading software from another manufacturer, settings, etc...)

German computer equipment is useless, stingy, only the French channels don't work.

    Hello
Have you ever thought that you might have come across a faulty unit with your Terratec Cinergy T² TNT tuner?
I mean, could it be that it's dead?
And that it's not an issue with the amplified antenna, the rooftop antenna, or the driver?
Personally, I have the Cinergy T2 BDA driver 2.3.0.26 and the Terratec Home Cinema 5.26.01 and everything works perfectly.

    Hello,
I’ll set aside the antenna issue since I’ve tried 3 different antenna configurations (mini, amplified, rooftop) in 2 different locations for consistently poor results, if not none. And another DVB-T tuner was connected to the rooftop without any issues.
As for a possible faulty hardware problem, I’m not sure since it’s worked before but with multiple stutters/cuts...
I could see a conflict with other DirectShow filters, but I don’t have the time to dig into it or mess up my setup, which, by the way, works perfectly...
By the way, in your case, was the problem resolved with the new antenna? (It seemed like it wasn't working well at first either)
    Which model did you get?

    Hello
Codecs are very important, I use ffdshow, Divx, and Xvid.
If you are using a codec pack (it can be a source of problems), remove it and take the same ones as me.

    Hello,
I also have a Terratec Cynergy XS USB stick, I've had it for a year.
I used to use it with Windows XP without any issues, and I received the DTT despite occasional glitches in the image and sound.

My computer has broken down, and I switched to Vista, which installed the program, but there is a bug, and the program starts but crashes. Is there a codec to download for compatibility or a trick to try?

For those who have reception issues with the DTT antenna, please know that I had to find some very bizarre places to get the channels... (near the window, on metal, in a metal box, on my halogen lamp) I could never get a decent signal far from the windows...
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

I acquired the Terratec T USB XE card yesterday, and it's giving me a lot of trouble.

    For your information, I'm unable to pick up any channels, even though I've updated the software, retrieved the patch for X64, downloaded other software (like Pouchin TV), and nothing works;

I tried using the included antenna, but received nothing, so I connected it to my rooftop antenna, with no success.
Even though I'm a bit far from the transmitter (15-20km), I don't think that's a real issue, as the neighboring houses receive TNT without problems.

My recent system shouldn't be a problem... Athlon 6000+X64, 1.5GB of RAM, Vista Premium.

    Can someone help me?

    Thanks.

    Hi
Have you updated your graphics card drivers?
    And DirectX as well?
The Terratec software has settings to change the audio and video codecs, try changing them to see.
On my side, I am just in front of the transmitter and it’s buggy too, but only with the TNT channels; the others work normally.
I’m going to buy a new antenna like this "CGV flat black TNT antenna"

    The original antenna is crap.
Have you tried using an indoor antenna?
Also, try rebooting your PC and starting your TV right afterwards.
When it glitches, I sometimes disconnect the USB cable and reconnect it.
Have you tried your tuner on another PC?
If your issues persist, I recommend writing to Terratec to explain the situation.
    Keep us updated.

Good evening, happy new year to everyone, I recently got the Cinergy T2, when I launch Terratec Home Cinema, all the channels work very well but when I select an HD channel, like France 2 HD or M6 HD..., nothing is displayed! With Windows Media Center (on Vista), there is only sound but no image. On other forums, some mentioned MPEG4 codecs. So if someone could tell me where to find a software that supports MPEG4 to be able to watch TNT HD on my computer? It would be a shame not to be able to watch TNT HD on my beautiful 22" LCD screen 1680 x 1050.

Well, I'm connected to a rooftop antenna, which has an amplifier... so that should be enough!

I think maybe the problem comes from the USB port, a conflict could mean it doesn't manage USB 2.0, even if it's enabled in the BIOS. There might be a patch, but I can't find it!
