Problem with TNT receiver Solved/Closed

Hello,

I have a problem with my TNT receiver. It’s a DVB-T 8100 Premium model. It was working perfectly until now, but it has been mishandled, and I can’t seem to fix it.

Almost no channels are displaying; there is a black screen instead showing that there is no signal. And when I restart the channel installation, it only detects 3 video channels and 3 audio channels.

Could you please help me? It shouldn’t be complicated, but I’m stuck.

What do you call bad "manipulation"?

If it happened at the time of connection, it's possible that one of the boards is fried. In that case, I don’t really see what you’re going to fix.

No, apparently, the receiver was not affected. Only the buttons on the remote control may have been touched.

But, it may not surprise you, but while I could only detect 3 TV channels and 3 radio channels, I can now detect 4 TV channels and some radio channels tonight. Additionally, I can occasionally see Paris Première even though it is a cable channel. I don't understand anything!

You need to tell us what really happened.
If it's just the remote control, I don't see why you're receiving the cable knowing that your decoder is not designed for that at all?!

Moreover, I believe that Paris Première is one of the paid channels of TNT.

Well, I’ve told you the little I know. The remote control was mishandled; someone pressed all the buttons.

Since then, a black screen appears when I try to select a channel.
Subsequently, the same person pressed all the buttons on the remote again. And since then, we have a few more channels.

As for Paris Première, well, it's reassuring that I'm not starting to receive cable. I didn't know there were paid channels on TNT.

Currently, when I select menu and then automatic channel installation, the receiver searches for frequencies. Error messages appear sporadically, and a few channels are picked up but not all.

From what I understood, it must be a matter of adjustment.
Now, you have everything I know myself. It's not very high-level, we agree.

Well, it's going a little better. I've reshaped the metal tip of a cable pointing to the DTT. And from 3, I'm now picking up 10 channels. But I'm missing the France Télévisions channels and TF1.

Generally, there is a menu like "factory settings," it's a bit of a "reset" for the machine
Do a reset and then an automatic search
Your "metallic tip" is the antenna connector ???? of the cable or on the receiver ???? because if the connector or its female socket on the receiver is damaged, it can simply weaken the signal and therefore remove channels
Keep in mind that in DTT, channels are distributed in "packs" of 4 or 5 on a single frequency, so if some frequencies are not working well, you will be missing one "pack" of channels

Thank you for the instructions.

I tried the factory reset but it still doesn't detect the channels.

If I understood my manual correctly, my "metallic tip" is an antenna plug from an RF cable connecting the DVD recorder to the television.

I just tried going directly to the receiver without the intermediary of the player (so I only connected the TV to the TNT receiver) but it didn't help.

Currently, I am back to the original situation where the TNT only detects 3 free channels and 3 paid ones.

I looked at the document you referred to. I can only pick up R4 and none of the others.

On the other hand, I've gained in power and quality. So what I can receive is clear and without stripes. That wasn't the case before.

Note that to complicate things, I have an aging TV. So it only receives (outside of TNT) a few of the free channels! I'm not sure if it's related. Previously, that hadn't been a problem, even though the antenna plug was worn.

In summary, if your analog image (like before digital terrestrial television) is good and you don't have all the digital TV channels, it could be due to the antenna, the antenna coupler (if there are multiple), or very rarely, the downlead cable (including the connections).

If you are missing some analog channels, it would confirm the issue mentioned above.
Make sure you are in a coverage area for digital terrestrial television; basic, I know, but.............

No, my lord, the analog image is not good. I am not receiving all the free channels, and for those that I do receive, the image is disastrous.

I have tried disconnecting the connections by removing the TNT and the DVD recorder from the circuit, but it doesn't change anything.

So for now, nothing new.

If the analog reception is poor, or very poor, there is a good chance that the digital terrestrial television (TNT) will not work.  To be improved or wait for the transition to TNT via satellite.

A late message to indicate that the problem is resolved. Well, resolved is a strong word because I couldn't do anything about the antenna. But anyway, I'm using ADSL television. Since the television is working, it has solved my problem.

Bonsoir, j'ai effectué une mise à jour de réglage le 13 septembre pour pouvoir à nouveau recevoir TMC, mais maintenant les chaînes ne sont plus dans l'ordre 1-2-3 jusqu'à 18. Elles sont plutôt numérotées comme 350-351-352-368. En fait, c'est le bazar car les chaînes cryptées sont mélangées avec les autres chaînes. J'ai le récepteur Yamada DTV-1300. Merci si quelqu'un connaît le problème.

You can receive French TNT via satellite (ASTRA satellite). So you will need a satellite dish and the appropriate adapter to receive the signal.

Canal+ offers a package to receive TNT channels via satellite.
I don't know the subscription price.

Hello, Marie Make sure your antenna setup sheets are correctly filled out, then go to the menu and perform a channel scan and it should work; if it doesn't work, it's your antenna that's faulty.
