Hello,

I am considering purchasing a Bluestork BS-WG-RT4MD ADSL2 Wi-Fi router modem...

Google only brings up sales sites, and I'm looking for information to know if it is good?

Thank you in advance
Dominique

Hi,

This is the first time I've heard of this brand. Why don't you buy a more well-known brand like D-Link, Netgear, ...?

Best regards.

Hello;

The default username and password for the bluestork is "Admin", with a capital A and the other letters in lowercase.

I have a SAGEM WIFI router and the famous bluestork that I would like to use as a access point, can someone let me know how to configure it.

Thank you for your help.

Hello

I bought it.
It is very easy to install.

Nothing to configure. It sets up online, through the browser.
Implementation: 10 minutes.

See you later

Hi,
I see that I'm not the only one having this kind of problem. I bought a BlueStork modem - ADSL2+ modem / wifi router 802.11g with a 4-port switch, and I can't connect or find any drivers, firmware, or manuals.
It's too frustrating, and to think I should have gone with a NETGEAR, which has simpler drivers and easier-to-find manuals.
I now know that I'm going to return to the store to exchange it.

Hello,

JOKOCORP

I recently bought this equipment and I haven't had any issues. Easy connection, setup through the web interface and everything works smoothly. I can understand that a novice might struggle, but keep in mind that equipment like Sagem (Livebox) is much worse to configure and way more unstable than Bluestork. Bluestork is just a subsidiary brand of Peabird, I believe.
There are even drivers for Linux and on the supplied CD. I have way fewer problems with this gear than with the Livebox Pro at work, and that's saying something.
Just keep an eye on your antivirus (to access the configuration), your cables (crossed if multiple machines on RJ 45), etc., and I don’t think you'll have any issues. One last tip, I bought this thing for €55 at a Carrefour and I checked several boxes that were raided (missing USB WiFi key, etc.), so make sure to check what you're buying and that it's complete.

See you!

Hi,
I didn't have any problem installing the router either, but I'm having an issue with the security during the setup.
Do I need to buy the Wi-Fi key that wasn't provided at the time of my purchase?
Thank you in advance for your reply.

Goodbye.

Hi,

Have you found a solution to your problem? In any case, I don't see the connection between securing and buying a WIFI key.

Hi,

The setup should be done like with XP. You launch your browser and enter the IP address of your router. Then you enter the connection settings provided by your ISP.

I bought it and the setup is easy, but I have a problem configuring the Wi-Fi.
I installed it on my desktop PC and everything works fine, but on my laptop, I find the Wi-Fi network but I can't connect. The troubleshooting says I need to configure the router's Wi-Fi.

Another question, how do I open the ports for downloads (on eMule)?

Hi,

You're picking up the network, but you can't connect to it: there is probably some encryption. You need to access your router's interface to find the encryption key and enter it on your laptop.

What is the original password to access the modem online?

Hi,

You should find the information in your manual. Most often, they use "adm" for the username and the password.

Hello,

I would like to bring this post back up because I've noticed that some of you have the same Bluestork modem (WG-RT4MD)

I need help with the Wi-Fi configuration, how did you proceed?

Thank you in advance
