Computer or tablet advice for autodarts manufacturing?

Hello,

I am currently in the process of building an automatic dart counter "autodarts".

3D printed support, ring, COB LED strip lighting, and 3 cameras.

I would like to operate the system via wifi; I need a PC, tablet, or something ideally with at least 3 USB3 ports for the cameras (apparently it works better if they are connected separately) and even a 4th for the LED.

What configuration?

*The drawbacks:

The number of necessary USBs.

Compact.

The OS should be able to run the software.

Wifi.

Used or cheap new if possible ????

Thank you in advance ????

Hello

The "at least 2 separate USB Buses" clearly indicates a requirement in this regard and it’s lacking in tablets: they often only have one USB port, and for reasons of compactness, nothing indicates that when there are 2, they are on 2 different buses and not managed by the same controller (which itself offers its USB bus separate from the others). At least 2 USB controllers are needed.

From there, my proposal is more radical: a NUC or a miniPC mini-ITX, ideally with a PCIe USB card allowing the addition of 1 or even 2 controllers. I have one such card in my tower, 7 USB 3.0 ports spread across 2 PCIe 3.0 controllers (I can’t remember if it’s 1x or 4x).

For the screen, it "simplifies," we place the PC somewhere and run a cable to a touchscreen of the desired size.

Hello,

In my opinion, the problem is with the sensor.

The easiest way is to place an electret microphone behind the target.

Connected to the microphone input of a PC.

If you choose this option, I can write the code (for Windows) that works well (free of charge).

Thank you for this quick response, but there is no real issue; I am simply looking for a PC or tablet that can run this system with the online software... I already have the 3D system where I integrated the 3 cameras and the LED lighting.

Hello,

For Autodarts, a standalone graphics tablet like the Huion Kamvas Pro 16 3 or the Wacom MobileStudio Pro would be ideal, as the tablet functions like a laptop with its own processor and operating system.

Hello, thank you, I will take a look at these models. ????

I don't personally know anyone who uses Autodart, which is why I am wondering...

I have my system equipped with 3 OV9732 cameras + LED... I am therefore missing the rest.

The website states:

For Autodarts, the minimum hardware requirements are as follows.

CPU: 2x2.0GHz or 4x1.5GHz

RAM: 1GB

USB: 3 ports for cameras (at least 2 separate USB buses)

Storage: At least 1GB of free storage

Windows 10 or 11
