Hello everyone!
So here it is, I have 2 problems that seem different but I think they are related :/
A few days ago, my new PC (it's only a few months old) started lagging like crazy, and it happened overnight. After using TuneUp Utilities, CCleaner etc., I see a slight improvement, but it's still not great.
So now I suspect a virus.. so I wanted to download Malwarebytes and Spybot just to scan my PC, but for both programs, an error message pops up when I try to install them: "The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program."
This is rather annoying :/ So if anyone could help me that would be really nice ^^
Thanks for taking the time to read my post :)
P.S.: I'm almost certain I didn't post this topic in the right forum, but I didn't know which one to choose :/

Hello,
What is the source of the download?

Life is so precious! and every second is a golden nugget. -
Re,
I don't think it's a good idea to run two scans at the same time.
It's even recommended to close all third-party applications during the mbam scan, and not to use your computer until the scan is finished.
--
Life is so precious! And every second is a gem of gold. -
Give more information about the YouTube video issue.
Error messages? Flash Player?

Life is so precious! and every second is a nugget of gold.-
I don't know if it's because I launched 2 scans at the same time, but neither of them found anything! Not a single little file :( I don't understand anything anymore..
I'll restart a full scan with Kaspersky while I'm working and I'll only run that one.
Regarding the videos: I click on the video I want to watch, the page loads correctly, but the video is just a black screen. When I hover over it, nothing appears, neither pause nor sound...

I tested several sources: 01.net, clubic... Always the same message :/

Download them using a device other than your PC, as at first glance you appear to be infected. Then try the installation again to see.

Hi
Spybot is useless, Malwarebytes is enough!
Run Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner as admin (right-click, run as admin)
AdwCleaner here
Please post the Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner reports, to see what infections you have!
A diagnosis would be good, to know exactly what the infection is?
I can transfer your post to the virus/security section if you want?

Hi
I'm moving your post to the right section, wait for a security contributor and don't do anything else, you are doing anything right now?-
-
Well, since BitDefender didn't find anything, I wanted to test with another antivirus, which is why I used Kaspersky...
(by the way, it didn't find anything either...)

Hello, for Flash Player, uninstall the current version and reinstall from here:
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?loc=fr
or here:
https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/web-internet/2609-adobe-flash-player/#q=t%E9l%E9charger+Adobe+Flash+Player&cur=1&url=%2F
Keep me updated.

Life is so precious! And every second is a nugget of gold.-
Well... so I uninstalled Flash Player correctly. Then I downloaded the version you suggested, I started the installation and at 7% it says "connection lost. Reconnecting attempt" and it doesn't move.. So I download it again and when I try to restart the installation this time it says: "Windows Smart Screen has blocked this application", I click on run anyway and then it says: "This application cannot be run on your PC."
Afterward, I learned that there is already a version of Flash Player built into Google Chrome, so I went to check YouTube and it seems to work. Just out of curiosity I also went to DailyMotion, and there it doesn't work anymore..
I don't understand anything anymore and I'm seriously considering doing a factory reset... -

No need to open another topic!
* Download ZHPDiag (by Nicolas Coolman)

We continue here
=> https://www.cjoint.com/c/CJfi3QrfJVz
You have two antivirus programs
Bitdefender Windows 8 Security v16.33.0.1897
You will need to make a choice!
You must have installed potentially unwanted programs
To avoid this kind of problem:
- Do not download any programs offered in advertisements or on suspicious sites. Note that some well-known sites like O1net, Softronic, Tuto4PC, etc. sometimes modify the programs offered for download to add adware ==> Always prefer downloading directly from the publisher's site.
- During the installation of a free program, read carefully and uncheck all additional programs that are offered, particularly toolbar installations.
For your information, read these files on Potentially Unwanted Programs and Toolbars, it is not mandatory
* Download this simple tool
http://general-changelog-team.fr/fr/downloads/viewdownload/20-outils-de-xplode/2-adwcleaner (by Xplode) on your desktop.
* If there is a problem with the first link, take it here https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/securite/2759-adwcleaner/
* Run it (On Vista/Seven/8 right-click on it, and choose run as administrator); if you are on XP, double-click on it
* Click on scan
* Post the search report C:\Adwcleaner[R]
* Note that the search report is also saved under C:\Adwcleaner[R1]

Don't delete anything, there’s nothing ^^
* Download Junkware Removal Tool at this address (do not click on download, the download will start automatically): https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/junkware-removal-tool/dl/131/
* Save it to your desktop.
* Close all running applications.
* Open JRT.exe and press Enter: if you are using Windows Vista, 7 or 8, open it by right-clicking => Run as administrator.
* Wait while the tool works: the desktop will disappear for a few moments, this is perfectly normal.
* At the end of the analysis, a report named JRT.txt will open. Host it like this and post the link obtained in your next response.

We are going to perform a comprehensive scan to see if other infections are hiding
Warning: the scan may take quite a long time, about 2 hours or more depending on the capacity of the hard drives
* Download MalwareBytes' anti-malware to the desktop
https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/securite/14361-malwarebytes-anti-malware/
* Right-click on the Download_mbam-setup.exe icon to run it as admin to start the installation process
* If the firewall asks for permission to connect for MalwareBytes, accept
* Uncheck for the trial version of MalwareBytes Pro
* It will update once done
* Go to the scan tab
* Select run a full scan
* Click on scan
* The scan starts
* At the end of the analysis, the message appears: The scan has completed normally.
* Click on view results to see the found items
* Click on OK to continue
* If malwares have been detected, click on view results
* Select all (or leave checked)
* Click on remove all
* MalwareBytes will delete the files and registry keys and place a copy in quarantine
* MalwareBytes will open Notepad and copy the report there
* Restart the PC
* Once restarted, double-click on MalwareBytes
* Go to the report/log tab
* Click on it to display, once displayed, click on edit
at the top of Notepad then on select all
* Go back to edit, then to copy and return
to the forum in your reply
* Right-click in the reply box and paste
Good luck

Great!

Wait!!!!
1) Uninstalling disinfection tools
Download Delfix here https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/securite/7111-delfix/
Run it as administrator (if you are using XP, double-click on the downloaded file) then once on the interface check the following boxes
-remove disinfection tools
-purge system restore
Then click on Execute and wait during the removal process.
The report will be saved in the clipboard and on the hard drive (C:\DelFix.txt).
Post the report
2) Don't forget to update Java, Adobe Reader, and Flash Player for IE (Chrome already includes it)
A useful link to read https://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/13362-mettre-a-jour-son-pc-contre-les-failles-de-securite
Don't forget to keep Windows updated via Windows Update
3) To help you update your software, I recommend using Filehippo Update Checker
You can download it here https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/9771-filehippo-app-manager/
For the installation of Filehippo, just uncheck the option to place the icon in the quick launch bar
4) To clean temporary files (be careful not to clean the registry), you can use CCleaner with a tutorial to configure it properly (https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/5647-ccleaner/
Download link https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/5647-ccleaner/
You can also use the Windows disk cleaner
Don't forget to defragment your hard drive from time to time either through the utility or through third-party software like Defraggler or Auslogics Disk Defrag
Forget about those kinds of cleaners like Tuneup, Glary, and other miracle cleaners, they will only slow down your machine and cleaning too thoroughly can cause serious malfunctions
5) Secure your browsers, for example with WOT and simple Adblock for Internet Explorer
To download WOT for IE, it's here https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/wot-web-of-trust-website/bhmmomiinigofkjcapegjjndpbikblnp
For simple Adblock it's here http://simple-adblock.com/downloadpage/ (click on Download Installer and not the link below!)
For Chrome (if you have Chrome)
WOT available here https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/wot-web-of-trust-website/bhmmomiinigofkjcapegjjndpbikblnp?hl=fr
Adblock available here https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/web-internet/2555-adblock-plus-pour-chrome/
Link to download WOT for Firefox
https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/wot-safe-browsing-tool/
Link to download Adblock +
https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/?src=ss
6) Be careful about what you download and how
Try to avoid downloading from O1net, Tom's Guide, Télécharger.com, and Softonic, as they repack software with potentially unwanted programs
To read
http://www.stoppublicites.fr/
https://www.malekal.com/adwares-pup-protection/
7) Why you should avoid downloading from P2P
The risks are high, the machine could become a zombie PC
