Hello,
I found a folder while walking through "C:\Program Files" named UNP, inside which are 2 other folders: Logs and UpdateNotificationMgr.
Logs have been adding an ".etl" file since June 20 with every startup.
Looking further, I found that the same folder (UNP) exists in system32, containing:
-UNPUX.dll
-UNPUXHost
-UNPXLauncher
-UpdateNotificationHelpers.dll
-UpdateNotificationMgr
Digital signature: microsoft windows
And there is a scheduled task: microsoft/windows/UNP
which apparently launches UpdateNotificationMgr every day, which creates that famous ".etl" file in the previously mentioned log folder.
I have searched for information about what these folders are without finding any answers....
I would like to know if these are "legit" folders or something malicious? :/
No software has been installed recently, I want to clarify. I am also on Windows 10 1809.
Thank you in advance for any help provided ^^
