How to remove text highlighting in Word?

I have a problem with Word that I have tried several times to solve and I can't. My problem is how to remove the highlighting from a text and leave the text with no color?

Do you not have a 'highlighting' tool (represented by a pencil with color) in the toolbar?
It is this tool that does the highlighting.
Generally, to undo something, you need to redo it (so here, reselect the part to be dealt with and click on the tool again).
And to deactivate a tool (if it remains active after use), you need to click on it again.
