Hello,
I have a serious problem: I have a 27-inch iMac partitioned with Windows. To start it up with the choice of the two partitions (Mac and Windows), I just needed to press the alt key during startup and wait. Since that stopped working, I went into "System Preferences" and set it to boot Windows. Problem: I am now unable to restart it under Mac! I would actually prefer to delete the Windows partition... but I can't find Mac anywhere: it always boots into Windows, no matter what I do!
If someone could come to my rescue!
Thank you in advance
Configuration: Mac OS X Lion (10.7.5) / Safari 6.0.5

Hello,
Start the Mac by pressing the X key to force it to boot into Mac OS X, then in System Preferences -> Startup Disk, reselect your Mac OS X disk as the startup disk.

So, try to start with the cmd and R keys held down, you will boot into the Recovery HD partition which will allow you to perform the necessary repairs, from Disk Utility, or even reinstall Mac OS 10.7.
I can't provide you with more details, as I'm not under this system.

And in Windows, through "Start" > "Settings" > "Control Panel", by going to "Boot Disk" can't you select Mac OS X as the startup system (that’s what Apple states in the Boot Camp Support)?

Hi,
Otherwise, if you have Lion or Mountain Lion, boot into recovery mode: cmd+R during startup.
And just in case, I remind you that the key presses during startup should not be quick taps, but continuous presses until the desired result is achieved.
