Error spooler 1068: I need help because I am a beginner in computers; my computer no longer recognizes my HP printer and when I try to reinstall the program it says RPC not available; the spooler is stopped but I can't start it (it is set to automatic). I have the following message: error 1068 the service or dependency group failed to start. Thank you for your help.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

    Well, to start the spooler
go to Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services

you look for the Print Spooler service, right-click on it, and select Restart
it should work if it's a spooler problem

Thank you for the response, but I have already tried this method and it doesn't work. When I try to restart the spooler, I get the error message 1068; the group or dependency system could not start, and I have no idea where this so-called dependency group is located: do you have any idea?

      Hello kikilagrenouille!

Would it be possible to know the model of your printer?

      Thanks
      see you!

Thank you for your help, but it's all good, I finally found a trick in the forum that allowed me to restart my printer. Before restarting the spooler, I had to restart Lex BCE: don't ask me for more!!! I'm clueless about computers, but thanks to this forum, I know a little bit more!!!!! Thanks again.

Thank you for your solution, I solved my problem in 2 minutes after reading your message! (I also managed to avoid giving 80 euros to those crooks at Dell...) It's amazing, I've been hanging around for 5 days with this issue. Thanks. See you later.
