Photo display issue on messenger

Hello,
I am reaching out to you because I am having an issue with my personal space that I just started to set up; I am using Windows XP and Internet Explorer 7.0; I have a Windows Live Messenger account and I want to create my personal space. Everything goes well until the moment I upload my photos, but the problem is that I cannot view my photos, I have the frame and a small red cross in the top left corner and when they attempt to load in the preview it says "cannot display the image." But I think it's not my computer's fault, let me explain: I cannot view my contacts' photos on Messenger either, while a friend of mine who set it up (and who is not in my contacts) sent me the link and I can see his photos perfectly!
My contacts see my photos on my site from their computers but I cannot see them from mine! And from another computer, I can see them this time! The kicker is that my mother-in-law has the exact same computer as me and it works fine for her!
Is it a configuration issue with my computer????
I don’t know and I am starting to despair... If someone could help me... that would be super cool!
