[PDF] print 2 pages on 1 sheet Solved

Question

Hello,
I have a silly and very simple problem: I recently changed my printer and since then, I can't print 2 pages of a PDF on one sheet. I feel like my new printer doesn't offer that option. (It's a CANON iP5200). I can shrink the size of a sheet in half, but it still prints vertically and there is only one page per sheet. (I'm not sure if I'm being very clear!) Is there software that can convert 2 PDF pages into one (essentially going from A4 to A5)?

I have the same as you and I found it!! You go to file, print, and then in scaling you select "multiple pages per sheet."

Hi,
In version 8.0.0 of Adobe Reader, go to file and then print setup. Click on the Properties button, go to the Layout tab, check the Organization box, then click on the Configure Organization button. You can choose to print 2 or 4 pages on one, as well as the layout and the border.

On my computer, no matter the printer, it "only" suffices to change the number of pages per sheet.

On the first window that opens when you click print, you have at the bottom right an option "zoom" --> "pages per sheet" and you select 2 or 4 as you wish.

And when I switch printers, this option remains valid.

Hello everyone!

For my part, you need to go to "File" -> "Print" -> Button "Properties" -> Drop-down list "Multi-page print" (which I assume means multi-page printing) then choose 2 in 1 or 4 in 1, etc.

Mine (or rather the boss's) is a Brother HL 2030 and it works very well. I doubt it's the source of the problem but rather the printer (it works fine on V7 or V8).

If this option is also available with the PIXMA iP1800, click on the ‘Start’ menu, ‘Settings’, ‘Printers’, right-click on your printer, and then click on ‘Print Options’. In the window that opens, click on ‘Page Setup’, and then under “Layout” select the “Print Layout” option.

Here is the problem:

I have a 200-page PDF file. It is a book prototype. I would like to be able to read the printed pages side by side (and at the same time, save paper).

So... File, Print, All pages, Scaling, Multiple pages per sheet, 2... So far, no problem. But while the pages are in the correct order on the screen, when I print (landscape format), I get page 2-1, page 4-3, page 7-8, etc.

To get the printing in order, I need to use the option Page from 1 to 1, then Page from 2 to 3, then Page from 4 to 5, etc. This is endless.

(Printer: HP 5740)

Simply select all your documents to print by holding down the Shift key and clicking on each document to print on the same sheet. Then right-click and click print. Next, go to options (at the bottom right), then to printer properties to select the print order, the print orientation (portrait or landscape), click ok and you're all set.
