The headset icon remains permanently. Solved

Question

Hello, for a week now the headset icon has been displayed on the screen of my Nokia 6680 and as a result it doesn't ring anymore. Has anyone had this problem before? Thanks in advance for any help to come.

I had the same problem as all of you

I found the solution on an English website that simply said to clean the connector to the power supply
with an old toothbrush and I added a bit of alcohol (aftershave).
And it works

I have a Nokia 6086 and the same problem. The only solution found is that when making a call or receiving one, we can activate the amplifier, but since the phone doesn't ring to indicate an incoming call, it's not obvious.
Thank you to whoever can provide information; apparently, it's a problem with Nokia.

I had the same problem on Nokia N70, here’s the fix:
- plug in the headset (only unplug it at the last step)
- make a call to someone (I called 888, I'm on Orage, the headset works)
- end the call.
- remove the battery while the phone is on
- put the battery back in and turn it on again
- Now remove the headset and the cursed icon disappears
I get my Nokia back

I turned off my phone all night and the next day the icon was gone, but it occasionally reappears or it says on the phone accessory not supported.

Hi everyone,
as you can see from my message above, I had the same problem. In fact, I found a simpler solution: I called customer service and they replaced my phone. Someone came to my house 48 hours later and gave me a new one.

I had the same problem a few days ago with my Nokia 3220 and I followed the advice of Priscilla and Lezion, turning off the phone and removing the battery for the night. The next morning, I turned my phone back on and the icon had disappeared. My phone is working very well. Thank you for your advice. Have a good evening.

So if you're with Orange on the customer service phone, they'll change it for you in less than 48 hours. I had this problem, and they had me do a bunch of manipulations, but nothing worked; it was dead. Otherwise, if you're with another operator, you need to call them too, and they'll also change your phone if they can't do anything. Kisses.

I have an old Nokia 6280 that's 5 years old... never had any problems... EXCEPT since yesterday, this damn headset icon has appeared...!!!! so no more calls... nothing
I did like ALAXA... it seems to work...!!! but it has already reappeared once...!!! I did it again and it holds... let's cross our fingers....!!!!!

For those who have a Nokia E71, I just experienced the problem and simply turning it off and on again wasn't enough. So, I plugged in the charger, turned the phone off and on again while keeping the charger plugged in, then unplugged it. Since then, no more issues :)
