ASUS Rotating Webcam

Hello,

I have an ASUS X71Q PC that originally came with Windows Vista. I later switched to Windows XP. I'm not sure if it's related, but the built-in webcam displays my image upside down (with my feet at the top). So, I did some research on this topic. I found that ASUS installs their webcams upside down and that the drivers can flip the image right-side up. I then went to the ASUS website and downloaded the missing drivers in the form of .ZIP files. I extracted these two files, which gave me the folders: "CMOS_Camera_Chicony_CNF7129_XP_080903" and "Camera_Suyin_V6585322014_XP". I then wanted to install the drivers (logically) by launching 2ksetup.exe and PNPINST.exe.

And here’s my problem: neither of them works... there is an error:
- 2ksetup: "Error! Installation failed! USB2.0 UVC 1.3M Webcam [OK]"
- PNPINST: "Error! USB2.0 UVC 1.3M/2M Webcam [OK]"

Then I tried DrivInst in the CMOS_Camera_Chicony_CNF7129_XP_080903 folder and after restarting my PC, the driver is detected but the camera still displays the image upside down. Even after trying both main .exe files again.

I hope you can help me.
Thank you!!

    Hello
I have exactly the same problem with Asus X25J after a restore under Windows 7.
    USB/VID-13D3&PID_5130REV_1211&MI_00
    USB/VID-13D3&PID_5130&MI_00
I downloaded the 3 drivers from the Asus website, but when I look for them via the manager, it tells me that the best driver is already installed, and if I run the EXE files, I get an error.
    Can someone help me?
    Thank you

I have exactly the same problem with Asus X50SL, following an installation of Seven behind Vista. Camera, image inverted!
Asus tells me that there are no drivers for Seven for this Webcam...
Here are the details of the identification number:

      USB\VID_064E&PID_A111&REV_0322&MI_00
      USB\VID_064E&PID_A111&MI_00

      Can you also help me
      Thanks in advance

Problem solved :) There was a CD of drivers provided, but I don't understand why the drivers outside of the CD don't work, but oh well...

    Hello,

In the device manager, right-click on the webcam, choose "Properties" then "Details".

Click on the drop-down menu, select "Hardware IDs".

    Post the information (example: PCI\VEN_1969&DEV_1026&SUBSYS_82261043&REV_B0).

Just copy the first line, that's enough.
