Problem with Outlook

 Fuck outlook -
Hello,

I can no longer access my Hotmail emails.
When I enter my credentials, the site asks me to confirm my account by entering a security code that I've received in the backup email inbox.
The problem is that this code didn't work!

I also tried receiving the code via phone.

Does anyone have any idea what this is about?
I really need to check my emails!

Thank you in advance.

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 22.0

Hello, for me it’s fixed; I had the same message about excessive zeal, blah blah blah.
It’s not due to an intrusion into your account; it’s MICROSOFT that has raised the bar too high due to too many complaints, resulting in all accounts being blocked.
MICROSOFT unlocked my account via phone by choosing "Where should we send the code?" select via phone by text, choose
your country, e.g., FRANCE +33, then in the other field type your number "06********"
Then within a few seconds you will receive a code via SMS.
If it still doesn’t work, you will need to create a recovery account; I went through that step to recover my first official account which must not resemble the blocked ID and must not end with "hotmail.com"; you should type, for example, MSN.FR according to your address. In any case, Microsoft will indicate the error in red.
Take a pen and paper or a print screen or a screenshot with your phone to note all your important data for later when filling in the fields. This is a backup address that will be required in case of hacking.

I tried via SMS but I didn't receive anything!

However, in the backup email box, I receive the security code, I go back to my blocked account, I enter the code, and I get the following message:

"A temporary problem has occurred

A temporary issue with this service has occurred. Please try again. If this message keeps appearing, please try again later."

It's been several weeks that I've been trying again!

I also had a security account and I can't log in.

You will need to create a new account and fill out the form with the same information.
Here is the link
https://signup.live.com/signup?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=11&ct=1377018938&rver=6.1.6206.0&wp=SAPI&wreply=https%3A%2F%2Faccount.live.com%2Fsummarypage.aspx&id=38936&bk=1377018939&uiflavor=web&mkt=FR-FR&lc=1036&lic=1&uaid=f865a47ea5fb419595c3c9d13ca701d0

Where are you from? And who are you? Use an identifier that should not resemble your blocked account, e.g., if you had @Hotmail.com, type @MSN.FR or @MSN.[your country's domain]. You can type your old password in this new account twice in the "Create a password" field and re-enter the password. "Be sure to check your keyboard settings, e.g., if NUM LOCK is not disabled and especially the SHIFT LOCK 'Uppercase and Lowercase'." Below, MICROSOFT will ask you, "If you forget your password, how to reset it?" In both fields for phone number, select your country, the area code will be automatically present, e.g., FRANCE (+33). Just type the last 10 digits in the other field, so your number 06********
After creating the new account, go back to your blocked account; usually, your new account will be activated in the "how you send the code" section. Choose by phone in text mode, again selecting your country with the area code and re-enter your phone number 06********. In the seconds that follow, you will receive a code via SMS. Type it in and your account will be unlocked.
I repeat, because here on CCM many forget to memorize their data: make sure to note all the information you enter in the new address fields, password, first name, last name, date of birth, gender, address, phone number; these are important data for your backup account that will be requested in case of hacking your account.

I had the same problem with "excess zeal," but I don't see why we don't have the right to give our opinion on certain news. If that's not the case, then there's no point in bombarding us with ads and information that we might not want to see. As a citizen, I believe I have the right to express my opinion and respond to the information that's imposed on us. Differences in expression are part of civic rights.

For my part, everything returned to normal after a few days. I didn't need to do anything: I was able to log in directly with my old password. Strange, you say strange? I wish you success in resolving your login issue.
Thank you for your advice!

Greetings:

Once you have entered the code received on one of your backup addresses with your keyboard (not by copying/pasting) or received via phone, SMS, etc., and opened Outlook:

go to your Outlook inbox and click at the top on the logo next to your username:
https://www.cjoint.com/c/CJphVXeioRS
and scroll down and click on "Other mail settings"

then in "Account management" just below you click on "Account details ... "
https://www.cjoint.com/c/CJphYHYR0hb

then it will open your Microsoft account, scroll down to "security information" and click on "Disable two-step verification"
https://www.cjoint.com/c/CJph1to3JZe

it’s a bug from Microsoft that changed the way to access your mail with two-step verification when we didn't ask for it!
