Hello
I installed on 22/02/2007 the free software "GOOGLE EARTH"
as I liked it a lot I wanted to get "GOOGLE EARTH+"; when I tried to install it, a dialog box told me that a previous version was already installed and that I needed to uninstall it. But it was impossible to do. I therefore consulted the site, and the uninstall method; I did as they say and nothing works
could you please give me a solution
thank you very much for your help
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

When I try to uninstall Google Earth or load Google Earth+, a box says that Google Earth.msi is not found in the temp files. What should I do? Thank you

If the uninstall doesn't work, this is complex.
You can't just go into Program Files and remove all of Google Earth (even though).
However, if you're a bit of a daredevil, you can go into Google in Program Files and Google Earth and there you select everything and delete everything. Since Google Earth is only a simple application, it shouldn't crash your system. You can then attempt to reinstall G Earth +.
Well, but if that doesn't work, and if you want to do better, go into Regedit to edit the file registry table and search with F3 for all keys or lines containing the name "google" and "google earth" and delete only those that involve "google earth." It's a bit hard but it works. Then run CCleaner to clean the registry completely of the lines you may have forgotten and that serve no purpose. And only after that do you reinstall Google Earth +.
It's up to you to decide. The risk of a crash on G-Earth is low.

      thank you piopicolo
but I can’t find regedit (well when I search for regedit) it shows me 5 or 6 since I’m really not an computer expert, which one should I take to edit the registry? I’ve already deleted GOOGLE earth but it’s still the same.
So the question is: how do I find regedit and edit the registry ??
thanks for your help, and besides that it will give me a bit more knowledge
      thanks again

You go to Start and click Run, then you type regedit and you’re in the registry table.
      but beware...
beforehand, you must have eliminated in "Program Files" / google/ google earth the entire ggogle earth folder.
I thought about it: did you install google earth in program files or on another drive? sometimes the uninstall doesn’t work if it’s installed somewhere else because the guys who make the uninstall program write directly to c:\program files\ etc... this happened to me and in that case you’re forced to delete the entire folder where you installed it (d:\ for example) and then you go into regedit and you delete all the keys related to that software. it’s really easy by pressing F3 you search for google earth and each time you find a key you delete it with its children. at the end, you use CCleaner to remove the leftover registry junk you didn’t remove.
do not do this for all programs, because some especially Microsoft ones, use common files and shared keys to mess with… the fools.

        hello piopicolo
you are going to tell me that I’m an idiot? , I did find REGEDIT, I deleted all the lines corresponding to google earth, but how do you make CCLEAR run ?? I did ( clean the disk, and google earth is still in the control panel and impossible to remove. As I said I’m not an IT pro ( except to make spreadsheets with excel or mail with word and company that’s okay ). But I’m not a dummy and I’ll get there, because I like to know how to do it. So sorry again to bother you but how do you make CCLEAR run ?
thank you for your sympathy and your patience with me

You load it from CCM / it’s ccleaner.exe that you’ll find on the site in the download.
        See you later
