Hello,

I upgraded (stupidly!) from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1

Google Earth won’t open anymore ...

could someone help?

    Hello,
    You just need to change one setting.
    To solve Google Earth on Windows 8.1 64-bit, go to Tools in the menu bar, then Options in the drop-down menu. Select the 3D View tab. Uncheck DirectX and OpenGL to switch. It works perfectly in OpenGL mode.

      Yes, I removed DirectX and a window tells me Google Earth must open in OpenGL but nothing happens ...

    Why "stupid"? What’s stupid is keeping the penultimate version of Windows.

    Have you tried reinstalling Google Earth since then? Some programs disappear with the update (Office for example)
