Hello,
I would like to animate an image in my slideshow with the "roll" opening effect, but it is grayed out in the list of effects (as are other effects like "fade in rotation," "whip," or "shuffle"). However, if I select text, the effect is no longer grayed out, so it does indeed seem to be due to the fact that it's an image. I’ve tried using different image formats, but nothing works; the "roll" effect is always grayed out.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I just looked into the "Whip" effect, and all I can tell you is that it is indeed effects reserved for text. Unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done.
Thank you for these answers.
I use PowerPoint 2007 so there may not be the same effects between the two versions.
Okay then, I will try using another effect that is not reserved for text. I don't quite understand why it is like that, even though it is a very simple effect.. Anyway, that's the magic of computers ha ha :) Thank you for your help anyway! ;)
