Hello everyone,
Here, I have Windows Media Player 11 and I just want to know how to display the total playback time of the audio or video file being played.
The elapsed playback time appears at the bottom left of the player, but I can't find how to show the total playback time (the total duration of a movie or music...).
Thanks in advance...

After searching just like you, I partly found the solution...
In fact, the total time of your playlist appears when you are not playing the list.
Indeed, when you are playing a file, the name appears at the top (above your playlist), but if you hit stop, the number of files in your playlist and the duration of it appear instead...
The only little downside, however (and yes, there had to be one), is that this duration is not as precise as before. It only indicates the minutes! You will only get "63 minutes" instead of "63:35" for the 35 seconds...
There you go, I hope this helps you.
If you find something better... don't hesitate!

Thank you so much for your explanation ;))

Thank you - it annoys me when the "new improved versions" are less convenient than before. I couldn't find it either!

Thank you!

Nice, thanks! It's true that we don't always open our eyes enough, but still in the version, it was simpler and more logical, like the total of the addition, it appears at the bottom of it... :-)

Thank you!!! Great, and yet...so simple! ;)
Hello!
When your file is playing, you have the time running at the bottom left. You left-click on the running time, and it shows you the total time; another click, and you see the remaining time.
I also looked for it because it was annoying me!
However, if someone knows how to display the total time of a playlist, I'm interested...
Thanks...!

Hello everyone
nothing to do under Vista, impossible to display the total duration of a selection of titles (or I missed an episode)
to obtain it, I go to Windows Explorer, I select the titles and the total duration appears at the bottom along with the number of files and the size, if this does not appear, click on "show more details"

Still no response about the absence of the total time of the list while reading, at the bottom right (previous version). Is there anyone who knows?...
Hello, I have the same problem as Dugomo, it’s also on Windows Vista and the playback time is no longer displayed in the bottom left. Can someone help us??
It's simple:
if the time is displayed in the bottom left:
- you click on it.... the elapsed time since the beginning is displayed
- you click on it again: the time display shifts to the top right (remaining time)
- you click on it again (at the top right) and the display shifts back to the bottom left with the remaining time
....
and so on!
The solution: click on the time display!
Looking forward

By going to "synchronize", right-click on the selection whose total duration you want. Select "Edit in list view" and there will appear the number of pieces and the total duration.

Good evening,
I just noticed that under Windows 10, if I select, for example, about twenty songs to listen to in the My Music folder, WMP11 displays the selected items at the bottom left, the total size, but not the total time. All my investigations have been in vain. Does anyone have a solution?
Thank you in advance.

Hello, my question is a bit off-topic but I can't seem to ask questions (the spell checker is totally bugged). So, since iTunes 12 and iOS 9, the duration of albums no longer displays. It may seem like a detail, but it drives me crazy. Another problem: how do I choose the order of albums by artist on the iPod? Before they were arranged in chronological order, now they're in reverse order (which I find stupid). Please help me.
