Hello,
I am looking for people who have this BIOS:
Phoenix Technologies Si671V18 06/03/2008
Motherboard: GA-T671MG
06/03/2008-SIS-671-2A7IGG01C-00
Most Packard Bell iStart have this motherboard. Depending on the purchase date, the incorporated BIOS can be version Si671V10/V17/18. Mine is v10 and I need to update it so that it recognizes all of my RAM. So if anyone has a version v17 or v18, I can explain how to send it to me.
If you can save it from your computer and pass it on to me, that would be nice.
Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 20.0

Unfortunately not, Packard Bell has nothing for this motherboard, the site doesn't even recognize my serial number or the model of the PC, and there's nothing on the FTP of old PCs ftp://ftp.download.packardbell.com/
(I was given one this weekend, what a horror)...
Thank goodness for Windows Update!
As for the question asked, I don't see how to back up the BIOS on this kind of thing... there is no version manager in the BIOS.
And recognizing "all" the RAM, I doubt a BIOS update will improve the situation (4GB is the max for a 32-bit system, and I wouldn't be surprised if this motherboard caps it at 3GB).
I've searched on Gigabyte's side, Sis, Packard Bell, nothing! -
Wow! I say THANK YOU to Bios v18!
I finally have my 4GB of RAM detected! I thought I would never find the file; I've been looking for it for 3 months, and I've finally found it.
1- It is downloadable here: ftp://ftp.packardbell.com/pub/itemnr/7604700300/Reno_bios_v18.exe
2- You need Windows XP or Windows Vista for the program to burn the CD.
3- You have to boot from the CD.
Thank you a thousand times ;-)

Hello
You will find your BIOS on the Packard Bell website quite simply.

Hello to you -
Hola, tengo esa misma Motherboard ¿seguro que funciona esa bios? no comentaron nada....
Hi, I have the same motherboard, are you sure that BIOS works? They didn’t comment anything.... -
Execute this executable in Windows so that it creates the update CD.
-
Perfect.
It also works on Windows 7 by running the file in XP (SP3) compatibility mode: right-click / Properties / Compatibility.
After switching to Si671V18, the computer recognizes 4GB in the BIOS.
Thank you.
