Printer and preheating

Hello,
My HP PSC 950 printer, when I start a copy, it stays in preheating and does not produce any copy. Please let me know where this might come from. 
Configuration: Windows 98 Internet Explorer 6.0

    Hello there; it happens that I have the same problem as you with my HP PSC 950 printer: I can print, but not at all scan or copy (it gets stuck on warming up and my copy button sometimes keeps flashing red).
    I've tried everything I think: unplugging the power, resetting...
    Do you have the solution for this issue please?

      Hello,
      The only solution I found is to unplug all the printer's wires, wait (sometimes for over an hour), and then plug them back in.
      It eventually works.
      Don't bother trying to contact HP's chat support, it's worthless.
