Hello everyone,
I have a problem that I'm encountering for the first time and I haven't found much help online, so I'm hoping you can assist me.
The issue is simple: I wanted to create a Live Key of a Linux distribution to use it without installation. However, this time when I insert my USB stick to boot from it, I get the message BOOTMGR is missing, whereas without it, my Windows starts up without any issues. I’ve tried to repair it with two different tools, both of which said the operation was successful, but as you can guess, my problem persists.
I should mention that this is not the first time I’ve done this and all my previous attempts were successful.
It’s worth noting that I had Ubuntu in dual boot and I removed it using the OS-Uninstaller tool, and I reinstalled GRUB using the second tool provided in the Secure Linux distribution.
I also want to clarify that I did perform a SHA-1 check on my new distribution since the hash was provided on the official website.
Even though it seems to me that everything is in order, feel free to ask if you have any questions.
Thank you in advance.

Hello,
This message is a Windows message that has nothing to do with Linux.
Can you tell me which Linux distribution you put on your USB stick and especially how you installed it?

The fact is that if I understood correctly, it's a successor to the NTDLR of Windows XP.
It's the Kali Linux distribution, and I made it bootable on my USB stick using Unetbootin, which I've always used.
I had no issues with version 1.0.1, but with the update to 1.0.2, I have this problem.

I think your PC is not booting from the USB stick. There’s no reason for a Windows message to appear when booting from a live USB created with Unetbootin.
You should check the boot options in the BIOS; I think the solution lies there. Make sure the USB drive is prioritized over the hard disk at boot time.
Just in case, you can create a new installation on your USB stick with Unetbootin after deleting all its contents (including any hidden folders), but if it works on another PC, I would be surprised if its quality is the cause.
What’s strange is that your Windows is functioning normally...
