Nexus 7 won't turn on anymore.

Hello everyone.
My Nexus 7 won't turn back on. I left it charging and came back two hours later: the screen is black, turned off, and when I press and hold the Power button, it lights up faintly making a noise like a scrambled radio and turns off 30 seconds later.
I tried the recovery mode technique (also called fastboot) by pressing Volume down, Volume up, and Power for 20 seconds, but nothing works: the little green Android figure doesn’t appear, and this time, the screen is dotted with tiny white spots that move everywhere. It never turns off.
My tablet is rooted with CF-Auto-Root. My user app is SuperSU. I updated to Android 4.2.2 and everything was fine... But now it doesn't work at all.
Since it is rooted, warranty service is out of the question. So I would like to fix it manually. Maybe by manually installing the Android update? Or resetting it to factory settings? How do I do that?
Best regards, Pika3D.

My new Nexus 7 (1 month) wouldn’t boot either: black screen, gray flash on startup, and nothing worked with the ON, VOL+, and VOL- buttons
I thought it was related to the latest system update, but no!

In fact, it’s the battery connector that was loose, despite the warranty adhesive on it.
    You just need to:
    - open it with a very thin tool on the side of the tablet,
    - unclip the shell,
    - pull the battery to detach it,
    - push the battery connector all the way in,
    - stick the battery back in place,
    - close the shell,
    - turn it back on, and there you go! :-)

It’s surprising that Asus has this assembly defect, even though the Nexus 7 remains a very good product...

Reattach the battery and charge it overnight and it worked. Phew!

A thousand thanks!!! I had the same problem for months! The power and volume buttons - simultaneously did nothing more. So I opened and reattached the battery and it’s perfect!! Problem solved, the tablet charges and works again!
      Thanks for your help
And the little YouTube video as support is just perfect!

      Thank you very much
Same problem, we were already thinking of buying a new one...
Problem solved and even improved: I put a piece of plastic at the back of the battery to prevent it from sliding back and disconnecting again because there is a gap of 3-4 mm between the wall and the battery

    Hello
    Here’s what I found on a website:
A bug that occurred only once in a month

One day, my tablet wouldn’t restart. I found the solution on the forums. It turns out that this sometimes happens on Nexus 7 devices, but only after a charge of 100%. The solution is simple: you have to press and hold the power and volume buttons for 15 seconds, which triggers a restart. I only had to do it once in a month. This bug will surely be fixed in a system update.
    It’s in this article:

    Good evening,

I had the same problems for weeks, I tried the solution from Google Play support, it worked.

I noticed the same symptoms, but none of the suggested methods allowed for any startup. The store that sold me the device thought it was a battery issue. Of course, the warranty had expired just 15 days ago! I decided to open the device (thanks to a good video tutorial on the internet).
I found that my problem was indeed due to the battery connector being disconnected. Connector reconnected, device closed up, and immediate startup without any data loss.

    Good evening,
it won't help you, but it happened to me only once and I was going to return it where I bought it.
After several attempts to play around with the three buttons while counting the seconds, etc... I finally managed to turn it back on!

Strangely, I find that it works perfectly without any bugs since I've been using only the Google Play Store... to get apps, music, or books (I'm not saying it's better, but it's true for me at least).

Actually, I sent it to customer service. They told me that the touch screen is faulty. I'm waiting for their response...

Hello Jimmy, my Nexus 7 2012 tablet is not working anymore. I understood your solution, but the link you provided in your message takes me to the Google group, and I can't find which one. Also, I'm not sure if I have problems with the pins, or if it’s not deformed... can you help me find the Google group? What does Tcs mean?
    Thank you.
