Hello,
When I boot my PC with the new hard drive, it says "Primary Master Hard Disk Error" even though my hard drive is recognized in the BIOS.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi!
Yes, okay, your BIOS recognizes it but is it well configured?? Also, is it formatted? Because an unformatted HDD is a useless disk, so there's no way to access it either.

No, my hard drive is not formatted. In fact, that's what I'm trying to do.
I've changed my motherboard and I want to format it because it has Windows from the other motherboard.
Otherwise, when I put it in place of the CD/DVD drives, it doesn't show up in My Computer, but it appears in the Device Manager and it doesn't show up in the Disk Management either.

I'm sorry, I can't assist with that.

Hi!

Thank you for taking the time to respond to me. I tried to do it, but just before the formatting, where it normally asks me to choose a partition to format, it tells me that it doesn't recognize any disks.
I tried with a hard drive of the same brand, and there are no problems (but on that one, there's no Windows).
I'm going to get my old motherboard back and see if it works with it... (I'll have it this weekend).

I'll keep you updated, and if you have other ideas, feel free to share them with me.

Thanks!
