Set the number of rings on landline

Solved

Hello, I would like to increase the number of rings before my landline voicemail is triggered (the phone is a Gigacet A660A) so that the built-in voicemail answers first to allow for call filtering. I already tried to disable my SFR voicemail, but then there were no messages at all, so I turned it back on;

  1. Hello,

    Have you tried this method... To set the number of rings on a Gigaset A660A, access the Settings menu via the Menu button, then select Voicemail and adjust the number of rings before forwarding.

    Confirm with OK.

      For this:

      • dial on your fixed SFR phone, *610*,
      • enter the 2 digits corresponding to the duration, in seconds, and finish with #.

      For example, if you dial *610*30#, the phone will ring for 30 seconds before your caller is redirected to the answering machine.

        Hello,

        Typically telephone operators trigger their voicemail after 20 seconds.

        So a good setting for your personal answering machine should be less than these 20 seconds (18s for an A660A).

        Otherwise, as JY29200 said, you must modify it with SFR.
        Since the A660A’s settings are limited to: Immediate / after 10 s / after 18 s / after 30 s / automatic (18s or 10s if there’s already a message or not), with SFR you will need to set more than 30 seconds (32s) if your voicemail is set to 30s.

        Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
        Especially when it isn’t there...
